The front sliding glass doors in the lobby needed a good cleaning. The rooms were nice, but people were coming in off the street to eat the breakfast and a some asked for money, which made me apprehensive.
The rooms were absolutely horrible, there was semen on my bed and couch, mold and rust on the lamp and couch cushions, holes in the ceiling, and the curtains were falling off. Do not recommend.
DO NOT STAY HERE. I’m a Choice Gold member, and have stayed at many Choice Hotels. This was the worst experience in all my stays. They are receiving money from FEMA to let the homeless actually LIVE at this ‘hotel’. It reeks of marijuana, questionable types of people sit out and smoke constantly, and then roam the parking lot at all times of the night. It was scary to even go to my car at night. Trash is overflowing by the elevators, shower curtain was in tatters, and the elevator was filthy. Really disappointed in this stay. When asked about the condition of the hotel, and it’s ‘residents’, the staff said they had complained to owner, because of the numerous complaints, but nothing had been done it.
The room was not ready when we got there. They were not happy that we booked through a "third party". I was told they charged a lot more for their rooms versus what we were paying. The lady that was in charge of housekeeping was outside smoking. The lady at the front desk kept texting her to see if the room was cleaned/ready. She was out there when we drove up. She finally came in and called someone to check. Before we went up to the room, the lady behind the desk said if we didn't like the room, the only thing she could do was give our money back. We could move to another hotel because they didn't have another room available. We went to the room; it was dirty and the smell was horrible. I tried to find another hotel but could not find one in our budget. We went to Walmart and bought cleaning products to clean our room. We will not be staying at Comfort Inn in Owensboro, KY again. Very disappointed!!!
Barbie, Check-in Manager, was EXCELLENT She was friendly and did everything, including o changing our room groom 2nd floor to 3rd because of the horrific smell on the floor & our initial room.
No coffee at breakfast Friday morning!!
Windows, window ceils were filth dirty with black hook and bugs!!
Screens on windows were shredded /torn..
No housekeeping Friday AM. Had to track down housekeeper to clean room, change sheets, scrub window ceils
Extremely loud music and noise Friday night/Sat AM til 4ish kept my room mate and me awake !
I DO NOT RECOMMEND EXPEDIA INCLUDE THIS HOTEL ON ITS LIST. THIS FACILITY!!!
Our room smelled bad, we had to go purchase air freshener in order to be able to stay in room.
One of the dirtiest hotels I’ve visited in years. My bedding and towels were clean, but the floors, elevator, dining area, lobby were absolutely filthy. There were no other places to stay, so I couldn’t leave. Ice machine didn’t work. The door wouldn’t latch and had to be fixed. There’s mold growing in the window grooves. The staff was friendly and the room was quiet. I was looking forward to a nice stay, but I’m just glad it’s over.
Lots of shopping options but we did not shop. In town for a family reunion. We've stayed at this motel several times but it has gone downhill a bit since last time we stayed.
It was nice and quiet
Clean and comfortable room, accommodating staff.
The lobby was nice & spotless. The fact they had breakfast was good. W
Cracked floors, guest room smelled so bad couldn’t walk in. Got a replacement room, was better but still had a weird smell. A few bugs on the ground and under the cover with me as i felt it crawl in me. Shower was nice though . Not for 177 bucks for a night when this place looks and feels like a cheap motel. Not good.
Old building. Rooms look old. Also furniture
Older hotel staff very friendly breakfast is good & plenty but the gym equipment all broken & the business service out of order
There were stains all over the furniture and carpet and signs of mildew in the shower. The mattresses were wrapped in plastic which made me think they may have had a bed bug issue in the past.
No hair dryer in room. The message light never turned off. Staff outside instead of behind the counter. Shower/tub valve inoperative.the value received was not in line with what I paid.
The breakfast and how comfortable the bed was
I had no complaints
It was convenient and clean.
Our room smelled like cigarette smoke.
The staff was amazing and very kind. The breakfast was spot on And amazing.
The second floor where my room was located smelt like mildew and mold. It was a very strong musty smell. However my room did not smell like that thankfully.
First of all, the staff employees were excellent in every way possible. The problem was the handicapped room I received (room 102) smelled of mildew upon arrival. I stayed in that room Friday, 15 Aug 2025, in the middle of the night the mildew smell got worse. I went to investigate the issue and found the air conditioner or something near the air conditioner was leaking water so much so that the carpet at least one fourth of the carpet in the room was drenched wet. I went to the front desk and told the employee what the issue was and he said he’d let the next crew know about the issue and would change me to another room. Upon my return that afternoon 16 Aug, I went to the front desk to see which room I’d be moving into. There was know notes left about the issues of room 102. So I asked the next person to come see the problem, she said they weren’t allowed to go into the room. I wanted to prove to them the wet carpet, the mildew smell intense and my need to move room. They inspected the room and confirmed the carpet was indeed drenched with water and moved me to room 201. Once on the second floor there was a problem with the air in the hallway and the stench of mildew again. The door to room 201 would not close on it’s own and stayed ajar. This property is in need of repair. I request a refund for not getting the handicapped room due to my severe disability i almost fell getting in and out of the tub while in room 201 and the horrible condition of room 102 my cell 937-231-3997
