Sea Mist Oceanfront Resort

We stayed in an individual owned unit in the Driftwood building. Unit 51011. The room was clean and updated. Loved the view. Close to Walmart and restaurants.

Don't be fooled by website photos. The room we had was nothing as pictured. The room was gross and nasty. Floors were sandy and sticky. Had not been swept or mopped. Bathtub is stained as well as shower curtain. Water leaked from ceiling. Mattresses were hard and broken down. Linens stained and dingy. Towels stained. Air conditioner barely hanging in case and it was nasty. filter needs cleaned. Balcony was the nastiest. Air unit dripping and rusty . Patio door fell out of track and difficult to lock. This place was a huge disappointment.

Will never stay again, nasty is an understatement, balcony was gross, so was room. We had water leaking from the ceiling

My family and I went to the sea mist hotel for a two night stay. We were put on the highest floor. Elevator didn’t work. No wifi (worker lied when we called and gave us a fake wifi pass that didn’t work for the room). No shower curtain. Room and hotel its self was dirty. Got a refund but we booked a room with three beds the original had three but the refund had two twin beds. Overall, it was a scam and wasn’t worth the amount we paid.

The worst experience ever!!!! I would not recommend this place. Parking was terrible…People doing drugs on property.All pools were closed

FALSE ADVERTISEMENT! TV was broke, tub was filled with dirty water, sheets were dirty. Garbage was left outside the balcony and we didn't even have toliet paper. Don't waste your money

. Well Seamist Resort The Units have individual owners that own each condo in the Tides and the Driftwood, my wife and I are cleaners we manage 60 units ourselves. You know going in first with the amazing dedicated company that we work for now, First starting ,yes it took so much longer to get out of the unit because we were catching up with the old cleaners that didn’t really clean much.
The problem is the cleaners in Myrtle Beach. They want to get in and get out and paid.. our last company we worked with , the cleaners will be out of a unit in 10 minutes. How?🤔Youd have two beds, stove, refrigerator, all furniture, sweeping mopping, changing sheets, which was triple sheet also 10 pillowcases wiping everything down sides of dressers, ceiling fans, pillowcases and yes it actually takes seven seconds to change a pillowcase . Trust me I’ve timed it. And out in 10 min smh!🧐My wife and I used to get units taken from us because we would be in a unit longer, but we was only cleaning up after the other cleaners that work for that same company but 👀see now we have our own units to take care of yrs 60 and like I said it took a while to first get in and get out of first, oh but now it’s going in and clean up after simpler the guest regardless you clean everything you supposed to wipe everything every single time and it makes it so much easier and so much cleaner and you get good reviews and you also get tips yep 😉but the main thing is that my wife and I love a clean place not just for us but for you or anyone that wants to come and have a nice vacation without ruining their favorite pair of socks every time they take off their shoes…do you want to test me on my Word.. OK go and book with
(BEACH LIFE)we might surprise you and you know you’ll get to save those brand new Nike socks you just bought lol and yes, there won’t be no hassle for you or your family
So the answer is clean Everything.!! The last company we worked for would be saying well…..”You don’t have to clean all that”then my wife and I would be like it’s dirty. You have to clean it. That’s your job lol we got fired, but we got hired💯

I put a one star because we were so disappointed. We paid for three beds, we got two beds. One of them didn't have cover and I was told they'll bring my cover in the morning. The TV didn't work, no refrigerator, no stove, the hot water didn't work until the next day. The elevator was down for a while, the swimming pool was dirty so the kids couldn't go swim. They told us they would give us half our money back, but before we left they didn't even want to give us anything back. Everything they show on the picture is false.

Sea mist won't let me post my photos anywhere else which should be your first red flag about this place. No customer photos on any sites from guests recent visits. Pools are green. Everything broken or gross. No towels or extra toilet paper no toiletries. No coffee no cups. Basically no amenities at all. Staff rude and no idea how to run a hotel. They worth everything on paper and there was serious lack of communication between front desk and house keeping. I booking an oceanfront room and had to settle for a resort view cause the cleaning stuff didn't clean the room. This place should be condemned and the whoever owns this place should be sued for false advertising this place.

Dump. We booked till sunday. Returning on friday afternoon they had taken all of our belongings, kicked us out of the room, and demanded $150 for "cleaning fees" to get our stuff back. Do not stay here unless you wanna get scammed. Scumbags run this place.

Don’t waste your money on this disgusting place. The property manager Brittany will not give you your money back even if they had to call an exterminator

No rugs in bathroom, no housekeping that i saw ever, cig butts everywhere smell of weed , elevator smelled like spilled liquor and weed every day bugs everywhere, stains on beds, and on couches, and huge stain on pull out mattress on couch, tv was not clear, no kiddie pools opened or waterpark area all closed with green water in them or empty, trash on the grounds everywhere, cig butts overflowing everywhere, paint chipping everywhere, elevator iffy and scared me every time we went in it shaked weird like it was gonna break down or fall ekkkkk and wasn't checked normally for maintenance. WE BOOKED FOR THE WATERPARK for our kids, but that was a big fat joke! Just bc this place is old, doesn't mean it had to be filthy and gross!!! No place on their website said closed. We had to buy cleaning supplies and mopped floors in hotel. Bc it was so dirty! Bought new bedding at walmart bc it was horrible and I couldn't let my kids sleep on that mess. The lock on door was so iffy and safety top lock was missing. We could have booked a better place for what we spent in just being somewhat comfortable! Huge gap under door you could see outdoors shine thru so bugs could walk right on in yuck! Had to put a towel rolled up and cover the door not like it helped. People in hotel had parties at night blasting music on the roof top and had cops the next day and cars being towed.... they were rowdey and trashy! We came on a family beach trip in summer but left exhausted and made we wasted money on this trashy hotel that the workers don't take care in! Only one maintance man came and added a tub knob on the handle so it could work... he was nice... but why was our tub even missing a know haha!!!!!! TOtal dump. IF you dont care about clean beds and rooms, and wanna sleep in filth then this is your place. Waste of money for sure! Management needs to put more pride in their hotel and clean it up! WOW

Please Stay away repeat STAY AWAY......... communication was awful they say call from room phone but no phone in room. Blood on sheets, roaches, homeless man. The WORST please ever. Not clean at all.

The property put a sign at reception, claiming they closed at 4PM and no one would be available until 9AM the following morning

Worst hotel in the planet. I rather sleep in my car. Plus they are rude, playing games abou granting you a refund and never did. The rooms were tight. There was some water leaking in their garage roof. Water on the ground, my child got on the water. Amenities were missing in the room.

This property looks amazing in the photos you get there they have half the parking closed couldn’t park near our room because of this. The rooms were terrible gaps all around the door and you could tell they had been broke into plenty of times. Drugs being used right on the property as they property had no security or staff walking and making those people move on the pools were all closed because of contamination. Just a very unsafe place for a family

I booked for 3 nights Sep 19-21. The property, specifically the Building Spray, is very outdated and requires major renovation. I was given a password for the internet that doesn't work. TV is not working, I complained about it to the front desk she said she will put in a work order but nothing happened so I didn't have TV nor internet for the whole 4 days of stay. I killed a roach crawling around. There is a sign on the sliding door to the balcony that it is not safe to enter. None of the outdoor pools is useable. No ironing board, iron and coat hangers. Never again!

Don’t book here! There are no water park amenities and only 1 pool open that’s not contaminated or shut down by the state for the entire resort to use. Also if you enjoy sleeping with cockroaches then this is your jam.

My family and I stayed here worst mistake. They gave us the wrong room then blame the booking website. When we finally got in the right room it looked like someone had just left it. The room wasn’t clean. There was a huge roach in the bathroom and there was a high pitch noise going off in the hallway all night. Most of the pools were closed and it was peak swim season.

I took and booked this online I get there having to pay a resort fee was not told that then I go to my room where the building it was so run down looking the elevator barely worked no one to help with luggage all the pools and water parks were shut down and get into my room with my dog there was no tv no toilet paper and no trash bags I called the number and they said it was because of the hurricane from last month and they said to go back to the office to ask them about all the other stuff so I did they didn’t have anything extra on hand and I asked them what am I supposed to do and they said nothing and the actual front desk didn’t even have phones they were having to messge the manger no response at all bc house keeping was gone it was the worst of the worst experience I have ever had with a hotel especially it supposed to be a resort. Then I was trying to find another hotel in the area to go to bc I told them I was checking out paying all this money for what??!! I’m in my car and 4 police suvs pull up I thought it was for me but it was for the hotel they blocked me in I could t get out they waked right in to the front desk and I really was not going to stay there at all I wouldn’t leave my dog there alone bc place was not safe. I give this hotel resort what ever it’s supposed to be a 0 out of 0 stars I will make sure to read the reviews from now on and don’t want anyone else to have to experience this and also got my money back from the hotel
