Cons:

There is a major issue with sewer smell . We had to change room and the second one was better but still a very bad smell of sewer pipe. They really need to fix that. No help with the luggages for arrival and check out. Not a 5 star hotel but the location and the pool set up is wounderfull. The restaurant and bar are super

Restful, beautiful and friendly
Pros:

The room was comfortable and size was good and the view was beautiful. The hotel ambiance was great and the staff very friendly and helpful.

Cons:

The only thing I would improve on would be the bathroom lighting because the overhead recessed lights over the vanity cause lots of shadowing on the face and the back light on the mirror was not strong enough to allow for easy makeup application. For me, lighting is very important especially at a bathroom vanity. Also, the morning breakfast area, while having a beautiful view with the large windows, should provide some type of sun firltering screen when the sun is shinning full force into the dining area.

O quarto era mesmo sobre o mar! A decoração é plena de glamour e beleza. O restaurante é soberbo, fomos brindados com a simpatia ímpar da Diana Aguiar. O pequeno almoço também é fabuloso. A vista é deslumbrante. Recomendo!

Stunning location in beautiful Cascais
Pros:

Fantastic location! Couldn’t get any closer to the sea. Lovely staff at check in & upgraded our room due to my IPrefer status. Great & interesting art dotted throughout & a 5 minute walk into town & next door to a fabulous new upscale marina with lots of dining & shopping choices.

We enjoyed our 4 nights at Farol and ate at The Mix restaurant one evening which was very good.
Pros:

Location was great. Staff were very helpful, attentive and friendly. Wasn’t busy. Availability of pool and sun beds. It was a boutique hotel.

Cons:

Building In need of maintenance. Music at the bar too loud. Coffee and tea making provision in rooms inadequate. The rooms should have kettles with more supplies including milk. No iron in room for ironing. The rooms are very expensive so one would expect more exclusivity to warrant 5 stars. We had a Deluxe double room with a balcony. I would have expected a bigger room with space to sit.

We had our wedding at the stunning Farol Hotel and from start to finish, the entire experience was flawless. Our wedding planner, Maria, was amazing, she guided us through every decision, making the planning process as stress free as possible.

The venue itself is beautiful and far exceeded our expectations. We had our ceremony overlooking the sea and our reception in a private area which were both decorated beautifully.

A special shout-out to the catering team. The food was spectacular, from the canapés during the cocktail hour to the main wedding meal. We received so many compliments from our guests, and everything was served efficiently and with a smile.

We cannot thank enough the wedding planner, the hotel & staff and the photographer for giving us the perfect day.

Pros:

They were spray painting stains in the carpets in the hallways and stairs during our stairs. It looked worse after they painted it.

The railings around the pool were rusting and the concrete area was cracked and looked old.

Pros:

Located in a prime setting this extended house offers an outdoor saltwater pool, outdoor bar and some seating (indoor bar looked nice but closed?).
Our room was lower floor, quite small and good bed, a chair, a desk, mini bar (€€€s), good wardrobe, safe etc.
Great shower in a small black tiled themed bathroom that needs a detailed tidy up.
Barbara was lovely, super helpful, engaging and good at the job. Thanks to her.
The evening restaurant staff, dinner quality and wine outstanding. I asked to see the chef post dinner to offer thanks for an outstanding and fab meal.
The walls are filled with art and objects de art all of which are for sale, quirky and contemporary interior... see pics.
Overall nice experience but at almost 400+ euros a night B and B will research further.
