Arriving at the Barceló Santo Domingo (formerly Lina) feels like coming home, and I always leave wanting to return. A couple of weeks ago, I requested they organize a reception for 21 people to celebrate my father's 85th birthday at their Japanese restaurant, Kyoto, and it was simply excellent. It was a delightful experience from beginning to end. The food was exceptional, the staff attentive, and the ambiance perfect for a cozy evening. Highly recommended!
Clean comfortable room
Carpets were being cleaned in the corridor which gave off a very strong smell.
Food buffets were average - nothing special.
The Barcelo Santo Domingo was a great experience. There was a musty smell in the room, but it did not greatly affect the overall experience.
The staff was not attentive as there was other lot of noises made by other people and when complained about it was told that they cannot do anything about it.
Additionally, the electricity keep shutting off with no explanation.
