The Deluxe Harbour King room is one of the best rooms in this hotel. The view shows Darling Harbour, ferries on the move, cruise ships berthing at White Bay wharf, people running and cycling around the harbour foreshore, especially fantastic sunsets. It is spacious, clean and comfortable. The new restaurant, The James, is fantastic as well. We ate dinner there and the food is quite special. We have stayed here countless times and the staff look after us, even though they don't know us. We only recognised Steve at the Observatory Bar, who is a star, at this hotel. We had laundry done this visit, always happy with the result. Check in and out is very professional and courteus. Loved our stay. We enjoyed using the swimming pool and the gym.
This is our favourite Sydney Hotel for good reason. We do feel that acknowledgement of long term customers like us, should be recognized and we should be welcomed back on every stay and there should be something they could add to our names, so it could happen. We are asked each time, if it is our first time in the hotel. Return customers would feel better to know they are appreciated.
Great love it
The bed the pool the bath and coffee the staff
It made an aged single traveller feel like a king
Nothing
The hotel is set in a beautiful part of Sydney and has a lot going for it, particularly the exceptional staff. The service truly stands out and is better than many other luxury hotels I’ve experienced around the world.
The spa and pool areas are lovely and well-maintained. One thing to note is that the spa is located right next to the pool, so it can occasionally be a bit lively with families and children nearby. It’s a great space, but if you’re specifically looking for a very quiet, retreat-style spa experience, it’s something to keep in mind. That said, the staff in the spa are excellent and provide great service.
The room itself was comfortable, spacious, and airy, though slightly dated in parts. While it didn’t quite match the standard of some other luxury hotels, it was still a pleasant place to stay overall.
The location and friendly personal staff

Great room , fabulous staff who were super helpful
Nothing
Perfect location and the fact that the hotel had some rooms with a terrace/balcony with a bay view.
We had room service one night and whilst the quality of the food was good it was tepid at best and some of it was quite cold.
The entire Langham experience was truly five-star. Our room was exceptional, with a stunning view over the harbour that allowed us to watch the sun set on the water each afternoon.
The gym and pool were the best we’ve experienced in a long time. We will definitely be returning.
We had a wonderful stay at the Langham. It is a quality hotel and worth the expense. We walked most everywhere. Location is excellent. Staff are helpful and considerate. Without a doubt, we would book it again if we were returning to Sydney.
Large room with water view. Excellent location. Attentive, kind, knowledgeable staff.
We recently stayed at The Langham Sydney and unfortunately it did not live up to expectations especially for a hotel at this price point.
The biggest letdown was the breakfast. For a five star premium hotel charging around $750 per night the buffet was surprisingly underwhelming. The selection felt basic the quality did not impress and overall it was one of the most disappointing hotel breakfasts we have experienced despite extensive travel.
More broadly the experience felt like it leaned heavily on brand and location rather than delivering true luxury. Compared to standout four star hotels in cities like London or Tokyo it simply does not measure up in terms of quality or attention to detail.
The Langham name carries prestige but this stay did not reflect the ultra luxurious standard you would expect. A real miss particularly when it comes to the breakfast.
On arrival room was not ready and coats were given to staff with baggage. My baggage coat with earbuds in pocket were sent to wrong room. I was given key to wrong room and embarrassingly I was given key to wrong room to be confronted by young female guests. My baggage was moved to correct room my coat with earbuds lost. The hotel have ignored my efforts to resolve loss.
We loved our stay at this hotel. We had a city view King room but also had a partial view of the water which was great. The hotel is in a good location - away from all the high rise buildings. In theory it is within walking distance of attractions but in reality we used uber as it was very warm and humid. We used the valet parking which was useful although they did mention being on a list for this which we were not aware of. We found the room to be very relaxing and quiet - the staff kindly made arrangements for me to access the room via stairs as I do not use elevators. I had confirmed this prior to booking but had to call again as reception did not seem aware of this request. Loved the diptyque toiletries and of course the pens! The pool was appreciated. Breakfast was good too. We had a lovely time and would stay here again.
