Tutto
The hotel is located rignth at the start of the road to Amalfi coast. The location is dramatic - squeezed between the mountain side and the seashore, between the industrial port of Salerno and the romantic coastal area. The size of the hotel is impressive - a couple of floors from the street-side and a steep drop to the beach on the other. Several steps and elevators to take to get from your room to the dining hall. Views from the balconies are great, especially at sunset and sunrise. The interior design gives one a good idea of the late XX century luxury.
The biggest trouble we had with finding the hotel. The address in Booking.com is not correct. We arrived at night, in darkness and rain. As we were looking at our GPS, we didn't notice the building. Reaching the address given, there was nothing there – just some dark industrial buildings next to the road. We had to turn around and go back a couple of kilometers. Talking to the staff later, the issue seems to be in the hotel being so vertical - part of it is on one street and part of it downhill, on the other street. I wish they would list the correct address or coordinates of the reception area. Parking was not easy either. The lot was quite full, and it took some maneuvering to fit our car there.

good staff
I stayed at Lloyd’s Baia Hotel for two nights and was shocked by what happened after checkout.
After I left, the hotel accused me of causing a leak and charged me surprisingly €300 for damages without showing me any evidence while I was on site or giving me a chance to verify anything in person. That is unfair and unprofessional. The charge looks like an attempt to push the hotel’s maintenance problems onto guests. The bathroom is outdated and poorly maintained, water flowed into the room is clearly maintenance issue, not guest damage, also, I hung “Please service my room” on the door, yet housekeeping never serviced the room.
The location is terrible, its right next to the port. Even though my room was one of the furthest, I could still hear constant noise from loading and unloading, which made it very uncomfortable and far from relaxing.
I actually planned to leave a positive review because many staff were welcoming — but this wrongful €300 charge, changed my view completely. I’ve spoken to the hotel after the departure demanding for proof instead, I was held responsible.
Tip for travellers: Document your room (photos/video), insist on seeing any alleged damage before accepting charges and read the document before signing.
