The Victorian House

I appreciated the rapidity with which the staff responded to my issues. For example, on two occasions I had no hot water, but they resolved it within 5 minutes. I appreciated the peace of mind that came with having a 24-hour reception desk.

The staff was very friendly, the bedding was comfortable and clean. The building could have used a little sprucing up but overall it was very good.

We had a very nice stay there. The house is conveniently located and was easy to get to and to get around from. Take the full breakfast as it is VERY generous and will get you through the day of hiking the streets, many of which are steeper than you might think,

Nice character property, well situated and the reception staff were very friendly and helpful.

We booked a budget room which was fine apart from the shower which had a curtain; a shower screen would be an improvement. Nice towels. We liked that tea and coffee making facilities were in the room.

Had a great stay and room was as advertised. Will be staying here whenever in Glasgow!

The staff were very friendly and kind and the hotel was spotless. It was quiet and tucked away but Sauchiehall St was 2 mins away and you could walk to Kelvingrove park and gallery. I would stay there again.

Ideal place to crash after a weekend sesh.

All of the staff at the Victoria House were so friendly and accommodating. We arrived very early due to the overnight train, they stored all our bags for us. We had a lot of large suitcases and we were reassigned another room on the ground floor so we did not have to take them all upstairs. The hit cooked breakfast was delicious.

We were located ar tge front of the property and the fro t doors constantly banged everytime somebody came and went. Not good for sleep at all.

Staff. Very helpful with positive attitude. Place old but looking good and clean. Good location close to main Glasgow streets and a bit hidden from noise.

Everything was excellent from start to finish. I arrived very late as I was travelling from London that evening, I had phoned to say I would be arriving late, but my train was slightly late as well. No problem, I had a friendly welcome and got to my room quickly. The room was clean and comfortable with everything I needed. The only concern I had was no hot water on my first morning, however this was just a case of needing to let the water run, then it was perfect. It is a great location, you can walk wherever you want to go In Glasgow, which is perfect for me. All members of the team were friendly and helpful with any questions and requests that I had. So overall I was very happy. I will definitely stay there again when I am in Glasgow and I recommend anyone else to do the same.

Our receptionist yesterday afternoon was absolutely lovely, an helpful. Thank you for making the long train journey a little bit nicer :) x

The property was good no problems no tea or coffee in room but kettle and cup bed was clean and comfy would definitely stay again, bathroom had a funny smell and definitely needs up dated broken tiles on the floor not foot for bare feet in the dark but over all good night stay

The check in was very easy and fast. Staff at reception were great and answered all the questions to help me navigate my city sightseeing plans. Thanks, Anuj

I think they did their best to keep the property as clean as much. Because the property itself is quite old, running since the Victorian era.
