Location & Staff are great!
Pros:

This is another review where I wish I could give half stars. It’s definitely a boutique hotel, located in a quiet area of Venice. The only sounds we heard were a few local owners’ dogs barking in the mornings. The room was very clean, and the staff at both the hotel and restaurant were among the best of the best. I wish I’d gotten the name of the young Italian guy with dark curly hair and dark-rimmed glasses—he was extremely helpful with recommendations for the area and places to eat. The only real disappointment was the view: just across a narrow walkway from a residential building, with no real view at

Beautiful hotel in a quiet, relaxing location
Pros:

So nice to visit a hotel that looks exactly like the publicity photos. The location is perfect for relaxing after a busy day sight seeing; in a quiet residential area with a beautiful park full of locals in the evenings. Close by the water bus stop ( highly recommend buying a multi day ticket as its so easy to hop on and off all around Venice as well as visit the other islands like Morano, Borano and the cemetery ).
Room was on the top floor, small but beautifully decorated with air con and a large fan had been placed in the room on our arrival. Checked in early but returned a couple of hours later with our bags in our room having visited the near by street with shops restaurants and bars recommended by the lovely staff on reception ( provided a map and highlighted shops etc ).

The whole hotel was spotlessly clean throughout.
Beautiful garden for relaxing so peaceful.
Breakfast was excellent in a very stylish setting.

One tip I would pass on is if you are coming from Marco Polo airport, grab a taxi to Piazzale Roma ( 40 Euro fixed fair ) then a water taxi to S. Elena ( hotel stop ) 90 Euro. What a fantastic way to arrive in Venice. ( or take the water bus to the same stop for around 10 euros pp )

Sometimes in life it is worth paying a little extra and the Hotel Indigo is a perfect example, considered other hotels before this one but so glad we chose the Indigo and would not hesitate to recommend to anyone.

A wonderful place to relax in Venice
Pros:

This fabulous hotel is a 30 minute walk or 15 minute vaporetto ride from St. Mark’s Square and that’s one of the reasons we love it so much. It’s in a quiet location, next to a beautiful park with several local restaurants nearby. A pleasant 20 minute walk through Giardini della Biennale or along the waterfront takes you to Via Giuseppe Garibaldi with even more restaurants and a Coop grocery. It was our second time at this wonderful hotel. The first time (in 2018) it was part of Best Western, but now that it’s part of IHG, it’s even better. The restaurant redesign makes it more elegant and welcoming. Both times our rooms were modern with large walk in showers & comfortable beds. There is a beautiful inner courtyard for relaxing outdoors in a private setting and an extensive breakfast selection with many hot and cold choices. We didn’t try the restaurant for dinner, but we did enjoy a lovely aperitivo in the large courtyard. Most important, a superb staff, always professional, kind and helpful. We can hardly wait to return and began planning our next visit for as soon as we got home!

Peaceful location but disappointing service during the Redentore Festival
Pros:

The hotel enjoys a peaceful location away from the crowds and the room itself was comfortable. Staff were polite whenever we interacted with them.

However, the overall experience did not justify the premium rates charged during the Redentore Festival. After returning from the fireworks around midnight, the bar was already closed with no refreshments available, despite many guests returning at that time. The following morning we were advised that no hot cooked breakfast was available, which was very disappointing for a hotel in this category.

Charging premium prices while reducing guest services does not reflect the standards I have come to expect from IHG. I hope the hotel reviews its service offering during major events so that future guests receive the experience they are paying for.

A peaceful stay in vibrant Venice
Pros:

We loved our stay here! From the moment we arrived, we received such a warm welcome. The staff were friendly and professional throughout our stay. Our room was exactly as described: spacious, with a beautiful bathroom, and everything was spotlessly clean and well maintained.

We particularly loved the hotel's location in the quieter part of Venice. It was lovely to come back to a peaceful area after a day out, while the water taxi makes it very easy to reach the busier parts of the city and other places.

The breakfast was very extensive, with something for everyone and the breakfast staff were very friendly and attentive, and the staff at the bar were lovely too.

Cons:

Nothing!

We had a fabulous stay here.
Pros:

We had a fabulous stay. The hotel is beautiful, tastefully decorated, and rich in history as a former convent. Our room was spacious, clean, and incredibly comfortable.

The staff were attentive and genuinely friendly throughout our stay, especially the wonderful team at breakfast. We also want to highlight Ksenia at guest services, who was exceptionally kind and provided excellent recommendations she is truly an asset to the hotel. Elena was also incredibly helpful, personally assisting us with our water taxi upon checkout.
The location is perfect, tucked away from the busy tourist crowds, yet still within a pleasant 15–20 minute walk to the city center. Returning to the hotel after a busy day of sightseeing felt like a true escape. We particularly enjoyed spending time in the beautiful gardens, which provided the perfect setting for a relaxing Aperol spritz.
