Television location
Air conditioner was broken, but at least the night was cool, so it helped with the windows open. We told the front desk and they said that they were very apologetic and said that they would fix it right away.

Breakfast was not as good. Daily cleaning didnt happen although i stayed 4 nights.
We had to go downstairs and get bedding for the sofa bed.

Bit sterile in decor
Loved the whipped cream and fancy syrup for the waffles. good yogurt! loved the spicy condiments for the egg.
The location was close to restaurants in Folsom. The room we had was very quiet and cozy. We didn’t hear the freeway at all. The kitchen and fridge was very convenient.
Our bath tub and shower was dirty. There were no travel size lotion or soaps. The pool and jacuzzi was dirty and mildew. They were airing out the pool area because of it. My husband and I could not swim or soak. Breakfast was free but just ok. Very cheap breakfast for an expensive stay. We had an issue with booking.com not notifying the hotel of prepayment. This caused a big issue. Victoria did wonderful on addressing our billing issue.
In my visit to Folsom, my family and I visited the pool and spa facilities and came down with horrible cases of spa folliculitis. I am surprised this skin infection, which is a result of contaminated spa water, would happen at a Marriott. I was further surprised to find on 3/2025 that there was another case of spa folliculitis at the same hotel, about 1 month ago. The management mention that the pH and cleaning procedures have been appropriately in place, but I am surprised that this represents two instances within 1 year. I'm sharing an image of my thigh, as the other pictures of myself or the rest of my family would not be appropriate. The hotel was kind enough to refund the stay when we called the day following checkout (when the rash was just starting), but in the midst of all the pain and difficulty sleeping as a result of the skin infection (this condition primarily affects areas of swimsuit contacts) which worsened in pain and discomfort over the following days, it feels a bit lacking of a response, though this could be the standard response and I may just not be used to expecting contaminated water issues in a Marriott hotel.
The Residence Inn Folsom hotel has been our go-to location for our annual fall family trip to nearby Apple Hill. The staff are friendly, efficient, and accommodating. Much appreciation to Victoria from the front desk, who helped my family with a room reservation swap to better manage space for group of families. The breakfast and housekeeping staff were hard working and very friendly as well. The hotel is clean and well taken care of. Location is excellent right off the freeway with easy access to many stores and restaurants nearby. This really is well managed Residence Inn and I look forward to continue returning in future visits.
