It was one step up from a camp site. I don’t think think they mop the floors in the rooms for the next guests

Cons:

Dirty (floors, laundry room was dirty, washer/dryer was dirty. Washed some clothes and it stained the clothes). Hallway was dingy, hallway walls were painted white and no paintings so it was very earie looking)

Well below average for a Sunesta property.
Pros:

Hotel was close to the event we were attending.

Cons:

Hotel was very run down and dirty. The halls reeked of Indian food. The breakfast area was shut down. Towels were old. I’m very surprised Sunesta attaches their name to this property.

Pros:

Staff was very polite and nice.

Cons:

Paint on furniture, bathroom extremely poor attempt at renovation, tiles broken, windows leaked air through them, and the entire building smelled of cooking. (Curry) "breakfast" was stale cereal and coffee.

I will try super 8 next time. Right next door.

1st room smelled of smoke. Second rooms dead bolt did not work. Had to Bo by trap door each night.
Bathroom and lamps electrical sockets did not work. Had to use sockets by bed.
Staff also played ball in parking lot both nights. Even with customers autos parked there.

Staff was friendly, convenient location, quiet, lower priced. Very much a budget hotel. Was a last minute decision to find a place to stay after a family reunion in the area.... Overall, an older property, kind of rough around the edges, but adequate for our needs at the time.

Cons:

Bed was very firm. Three pillows on the bed, two were thick and very lumpy, one was very flat. Pillow cases were rough. Tiny microwave and TV... fridge was a good size, though. No coffee pot in room, but coffee was available in the lobby.

Pros:

The staff were friendly. The location was close enough to Kalamazoo Airport. And other parts of Michigan and Indiana.

Cons:

Not their fault because the insects are native to Three Rivers. But the bugs, were able to get into the room through the windows which was annoying because you had to check your clothes before putting them on.
There was no main light in the bedroom, just two bedside lamps.

Cons:

The faucet in the sink leaked, the plunger to turn on the shower was almost non-operable. I had to pull really hard while pushing down on the bath faucet. They don't provide an itemized receipt if you book through Booking. This is the ONLY place I've ever stayed that won't provide an itemized receipt, regardless if I booked/paid through Booking.
