Room was ok but oaid for a suite which I did not get

Cons:

Hotel opposite active building site so very noisy. Very poor value for money. Would not recommend staying until building work is completed- see photo

Cons:

We booked an updated room and when we checked in we're given a horrible old out dated room. We were able to change but the staff was unfriendly at check in and didn't offer to help carry the bags to two stories. We were able to move rooms after making a stink and got the room we booked. We didn't sleep most of the night because the property felt unsafe.

A characterful hotel in a good location
Pros:

The room was beautiful with a nice bathroom and comfy beds, and everything felt very clean. There was a real history to the hotel. The pool was small but it was a pleasant place to sit and it was possible to get a drink from the adjacent bar (by the pool but run independently to the hotel). The staff were pleasant and the location was good to walk to nearby restaurants and tourist attractions.

Cons:

The hotel recommended a cafe located on the floor below for breakfast. The breakfast here was very disappointing so I'd suggest going elsewhere. There was some mix up over the airport taxi booking that the hotel made for us so it didn't turn up. However a guy who seemed to be the hotel maintenance person made some calls and sorted a local driver out for us, for which we were very grateful. Building work is taking place opposite the hotel (obviously outside the hotel's control) but it does spoil the view and creates some noise

Old Belizean Charm
Pros:

Wonderful British architecture (built as a private residence in 1927), large rooms, veranda to sit and read, good location, friendly and helpful staff.

Cons:

No elevator

Cons:

The stay was terrible. The staff in the morning were very rude—they didn’t talk to us, didn’t look at us, and didn’t answer our questions. Breakfast wasn’t included.
The room was very small, poorly located, with construction noise, and not very clean. You could hear doors slamming from everywhere all the time, so it was very noisy.
When I arrived, they made me carry all my luggage up and down the stairs by myself. There was no one to help. I booked two nights but left at 6 a.m. after the first night. One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in.

Convenient, unique, friendly boutique hotel.
Pros:

Location. Walking distance to Water Taxi. Boutique hotel, not a chain. Nice pool, bar area.

Cons:

It was very noisy. The property next door had big barking dogs that barked non-stop from 5:30-6:30am. You have to carry your luggage up 2 long flights of stairs.

The hotel was in a great location but the undisclosed construction and lack of view was very disappointing.
Pros:

The location was great and the staff were very helpful.

Cons:

We booked our room specifically because of the description and photos provided by the property highlighting the views. However, when we arrived we discovered a new hotel was being built directly across from The Great House, and the “great view” was actually of an active construction site. There was constant noise and disruption from 6:39-7am onward.
