Convenient, unique, friendly boutique hotel.
Pros:

Location. Walking distance to Water Taxi. Boutique hotel, not a chain. Nice pool, bar area.

Cons:

It was very noisy. The property next door had big barking dogs that barked non-stop from 5:30-6:30am. You have to carry your luggage up 2 long flights of stairs.

The hotel was in a great location but the undisclosed construction and lack of view was very disappointing.
Pros:

The location was great and the staff were very helpful.

Cons:

We booked our room specifically because of the description and photos provided by the property highlighting the views. However, when we arrived we discovered a new hotel was being built directly across from The Great House, and the “great view” was actually of an active construction site. There was constant noise and disruption from 6:39-7am onward.

Cons:

Our son accidentally left a pair of valuable shorts in his room when we left. We never got a call to say it was found. Instead we had to call and go back to the hotel. The lady at the front desk informed us they had the shorts but they were put in a "lost and found" area. When we arrived back at the hotel, someone retrieved them and thankfully got the shorts back. But it did not leave a good impression that they found some personal belongings after we checked out and never called or emailed us. Otherwise, it was a good stay.

Pros:

The customer service was impeccable and our room - a Deluxe King - was very attractive, modern, and comfortable. There some lovely touches, such as a bottle of hot sauce as a gift, and we loved the B&W photos printed on canvas above the bed. We also felt safe at the hotel.

Cons:

As our home currency is CAD, the price per night was a wee bit high for us.

Comfortable and charaming.
Pros:

Its a charming place, looks lovely with colonial features. liked the balcony outside the room and the pool area, very comfortable. Bed was comfortable. Room basic but fine. some good reaturants nearby and easy walk to water taxis.

Cons:

TV not great and WIFI not great. needs a bit of updating. No markets nearby and a little dodgy at night walking. Think it was a bit overpriced.
