We stayed for 11 nights in June 2026. I'll start with the good. We loved the location, with a quick walk to the Go Station for an easy commute into Toronto (only 4 stops to Union). We also loved the relaxed feel of Port Credit and changed our plans to spend a few days in the local area, walking through the parks, enjoying the marina and spending time in the bars/eateries. We loved having a suite and the extra space of the kitchenette and lounge. It really did feel like a home from home. The view from 801 was perfect, we could see Toronto in the distance and also had a great view of the lake.
The only bad bit was that we couldn't use the large balcony as the balconies are being refurbished. The refurbishment work is really noisy and it meant that we had to leave the apartment earlier in the morning than we'd like to when on holiday. We had a small blip with our first room and we had to change, although this was handled well. Room 1203 looked lovely but it was completely out of action due to the balcony works. I've noticed a few posts about the security deposit. As we were staying for an extended time, we had a payment of $500 made to our card rather than a hold. This was refunded, promptly and without issue on check-out.
We would definitely choose to stay here again, hopefully with a functional balcony, as we absolutely loved Port Credit and Toronto.
Well located with local restaurants and pubs. Also easy to commute into Toronto with excellent GO train service
Balcony could not be used due to work. This wasn’t advised when booking. We booked this due to kitchen facility however kitchen was poorly stocked with absolute minimum equipment provided. Facility was comfortable but did not look at all like Booking.com photo which made it look modern.
The hotel is i a great location , close to the main strip of good bars restaurants and stores and right next to the lake harbour for pleasant walks .. All the staff were very friendly and helpful with questions i had .
Nothing in particular
We arrived at Waterside Inn around 2:00 a.m. after a long drive, expecting to get some sleep. Instead, we were met with extremely loud construction noise coming from outside the hotel. It is now 3:00 a.m., and neither we nor our children have been able to sleep because of the constant noise.
When I spoke to the front desk, I was told that the City of Mississauga has a major construction project nearby and that work is taking place day and night. The staff pointed out that there is a notice about the noise hanging in the hotel lobby.
That is not acceptable. A notice in the lobby does nothing for guests who only see it after checking in at 2:00 a.m. If the hotel knew that overnight construction would seriously affect guests’ stay, they should have informed us before our arrival—during booking or by email. We would have booked another hotel had we known.
The issue is not the city’s construction project; it is the hotel’s failure to warn guests in advance. We paid for a place to sleep, and that was impossible.
Friendly staff and a big room.
I would have liked for it to be cheaper. But it has a prime location so you pay for that.
Lovely location, good places to eat and drink just a short walk away. Handy to Go train into downtown Toronto.
It was expensive, maybe due to the world cup being played. The room was pretty dated, the wifi was very slow, so no use for work. I had emailed and messaged twice the week before arriving as we needed the sofa changed into a bed, and this was not done for us and we had to request the sheets and blankets and do it ourselves after travelling for about 20 hours.
We had the two bedroom apartment and it was a large space with big closets and a huge balcony with a perfect view of the Toronto skyline and the lake. Kitchen is large and bedrooms were great. Definitely will be back!
The pricing was a little it high but do understand its Saturday and World Cup happening! The kitchen did not have many dishes and or paper towels or dish towels to dry.

Suite was spacious and kitchen facilities were sufficient. Complement of cookware was variable: we stayed in the same room for two stays, 4 days apart; on the second stay, the kitchen was missing cookware like pots and pans.
Our suite had a reasonably modern (but slightly mouldy) washer-dryer which was convenient for our longer stay.
Location was convenient for the Port Credit GO Train station.
Staff handled the catastrophic toilet failure (see next section) as well as they could and given what rooms were available. At 2am, they had no free rooms so put us up in a room that had been made up but had no window coverings. It wasn't ideal but at least it was a bed to sleep in.
Extremely worn and tired decor, appliances and sanitaryware. The bathroom sanitaryware was so old we experienced a catastrophic plumbing failure. The toilet cistern would not stop filling and the water overflowed the toilet bowl and spilled onto the floor, escaping the bathroom and into the rest of the suite. I had to open the lid of the cistern and manually lift the ballcock to stop the flooding. After that, I found and closed the valve that feeds the cistern tank.
Most of the appliances within the suite were extremely old. The kitchen appliances functioned however the hairdryer had a nonfunctioning on/off switch. The hairdryer would turn on as soon as it was plugged in and its switch did nothing. On our first stay, after we reported the faulty hairdryer they delivered another hairdryer (which was extremely basic) and left the faulty one. When we checked in for our second stay, which by chance was in the same room, the functioning hairdryer had been removed and leaving only the same faulty hairdryer.
