This hotel is nicely situated near old Quebec, an easy two minute walk. Lots of restaurants around. The staff was extremely nice, especially the concierge service that took care of charging my electric car and bring it to me in the morning warm and fully charged. All this with a smile!
The location was great.
As soon as I checked in I was told to go up the ramp to my room. I was left wandering the halls, only to find out that the elevator for my area of the hotel was broken, I saw stairs but with a big bag there was no way I was carrying it up then alone. There were no numbers on the doors and I was so confused. I was headed back to the front desk when a member of staff stopped me and asked if I was okay. I explained I was looking for my room and she was surprised that the front desk didn't tell me the elevator was broken and I'd have to use another one in another area of the building to access my floor and room. She guided me which was nice.
My next day started at 6:30am with people screaming in the hall and slamming doors because I got put right next to an alternative exit. I managed to get back to sleep but was woken again at 8 but someone banging on my door. As a single female traveller I was so confused. Opened my door and no one was there. Overall I had a bad stay, awful sleep and then when I explained this to the front desk they assured me that this was unacceptable. They couldn't give me a refund then and there because I booked through booking.com but said if I launched a complaint through booking.com I would be refunded. Nope, no refund. As a gesture of goodwill booking.com gave me $35, but the hotel won't own up to their poor service and my awful sleep. I travel a lot for work and will never book here again.
