Very nice property on water
Clean large rooms
Comfortable king size bed
Has all the amenities
Access to well equipped gym with hot tub , and large pool
There is a so but we didn’t use it
Good restaurant on site
Didn’t have breakfast as too expensive
Very close to train station and bus stations with a two minute walk which is very convenient
Walking distance to Italian quarter and shopping

Bathrooms are good but toilets and tub are outdated and would be nice if the hotel upgraded the washroooms
Overall we enjoyed our stay

The staff was so accommodating. When checking in they gave us two drink tickets when we told them we just got engaged. Really appreciate the hospitality.

The Galmont offers everything a traveler could wish for. Clean, friendly, good location, and a fitness center that even includes sauna and steam room!

everything was great except the AC made terrible noises

Guest services were great. Breakfast buffet was also nice.

Our room had maintenance issued that could easily been addressed prior to our arrival. Toilet made a terrible sound each time it was flushed, toilet seat was loose and the mirror in the bathroom was coming loose from the wall. Also limited space to hang towels for reuse.

Good location. With underground parking. Room was comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful

Breakfast was average. Train noise and shower noise a little annoying.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was super convenient to the train, bus station and downtown. The restaurant was good and the decor was clean and modern. The only thing that would be better is if the pool was open later. Unfortunately, since it closed early in the evening, we never got to use it to unwind at night. We would definitely recommend a stay here.

Perfect place to stay

Service in the bar and dining room and the housekeeping was not to the standard we would expect from this type of hotel.

This is a well appointed hotel very close to the city centre. We liked the walkability to shops and bars downtown. Beds were large and comfortable. Rooms were clean.

The housekeeping was not great. A bath mat was dirty upon our arrival and the towels were not laundered well (visible marks) on the next day.

The main thing I liked about this hotel was its proximity to Eyre square, numerous pubs, and attractions.
The only complaint was the water pressure in the shower was weak

We were very happy with our stay at the Galmont. The front desk personnel are wonderful—smart, helpful, and friendly. Our room was great—spacious & modern. The WiFi was strong. There were plenty of plugs for charging devices. There was an in room safe. The only thing our room lacked was drawers (Our friends’ room did have drawers.) The breakfast was excellent. The hotel is well located, near downtown without being on a loud street. We would definitely recommend the Galmont and would stay there on any future visits.

Rooms are a good size but the bathrooms could do with a bit of modernizing.
Should really offer free parking given their nightly rates.

Add the parking fee into the price of the room. Don’t like nickel and diming! Hate hidden fees.
