Beautiful property, nice and tidy
No complaints
Guests, beware! We had our vehicle hit by Hyatt housekeeping staff in the self parking lot. Luckily, another guest with some sense of responsibility witnessed the incident and took photos of it; without which we would never have known who hit the car because the staff member did not leave a note or in any way attempt to inform us. In fact, we later learned that valet staff also knew of the accident and also did not report it! Housekeeping manager, Elsa Mansa, advised said staff member in front of us in Spanish on how to lie to get out of responsibility, saying to show us other keys to another car. Eventually police had to get involved in a simple fender bender and even then, the lies continued! The officer told us the staff member was “so blatantly lying” throughout. But that’s not all! Hyatt is doing all it can to claim that housekeeping is contracted through a third party, so they don’t have any responsibility… and they were happy to not assist us at all, have their housekeeping manager insult us and advise staff how to bilk paying customers and charge us full price to stay in a place that is happy to damage guest property! Add $500-$1000 to your estimated stay, because that is what we are looking at from our insurance, plus undoubtedly increased premiums. Stay at your risk!
Loved the area, fantastic to relax and walk around.
The hotel is not that great. Lay out is a bit confusing, parking next to hotel is only available for 5 lucky guests, others walk to the parking lot away from the building.
Particularly dissapointing was dinner and breakfst experiences. Dinner was undercooked and was sent back. I ended up eating something I didnt want just because it did not have to be cooked...
At breakfast I got lecture from the server that I should have let them know Globalist status while front desk said "order whatever". Apparently, even beverage can not be "whatever", and the entree was also strange.
6 stars for the area. 3 stars for the room. 0 stars for food and beverage service.
Had a massage with my sister. My table squeaked the whole time couldn't relax to really enjoy the experience. My sister enjoyed her service. They really need to get better tables but the ambiance was nice. Loved using the pool and jacuzzi afterwards.
This is a hidden spot perfect for a getaway from Chicago. Great for people who are interested in mid century modern architecture
Awesome pool
Ac wasn’t very strong, shower was pretty weak
N/A. Too expensive for buffet
This is not a 4 star hotel. I'd say 2 star. The common areas and pool are kept up nicely but the rooms are below average and very dated.
Great experience, customer service and location. Beautiful grounds. Love the resort style feel! Very friendly staff.
I like at all.
Nothing.
The location and the pool
The shower door was broken and most drawers didn’t close well! A lot of dust in the room
Grounds are amazing! Wedding event staff was great EXCEPT for wedding coordinator/execution of the contract. Personally had a good check in. Roll away ex was asked for and promised twice, but never happened. My brother’s room was sold out from under his reservation. They tried to comp him, but had no rooms to give for him. Personally witnessed staff raised voices at check in toward my son who was clearing up some wedding venue contract concerns. Very disappointed with the last 2 issues. Would not stay there again because of this. Shout out to the venue wait staff, housekeeping and bartenders for a job very well done!
I recently stayed at Hyatt Lodge and had mixed feelings about my experience.
The room itself was excellent. It was spacious, comfortable, and very cozy, with a large TV that made it easy to relax and unwind. We truly enjoyed spending time in the room, and it was one of the highlights of our stay.
The property is also beautiful. The grounds are peaceful, well maintained, and perfect for taking a walk. The outdoor setting created a relaxing atmosphere and added to the overall appeal of the hotel.
Unfortunately, the breakfast was disappointing. For a Category 3 Hyatt property, I expected a much better breakfast selection and higher-quality food. It was below what I've come to expect from Hyatt.
The most disappointing part of our stay involved my service dog, Sasha. While we were having breakfast, a staff member asked me to remove my dog from the dining area. I explained that Sasha is a trained service animal, but I was still asked to take her out. As a result, Ralph had to stop eating, take Sasha back to our room, and leave her there before returning to finish breakfast. That interaction made us feel unwelcome and left a negative impression on what had otherwise been a pleasant stay.
I hope Hyatt provides additional training to staff regarding the accommodation of guests with service animals so future guests do not have a similar experience.
Overall, the spacious and comfortable room and the beautiful grounds made for a relaxing stay, but the breakfast quality and the handling of our service animal significantly impacted our overall experience.
The beauty of the grounds and exceptional staff.
That I didn't stay longer(lol).
Beautiful property. Everything was lovely. We had excellent check in staff at 9:30 am on 7/9.
We had issues with the water in the shower going hot to cold, pressure to no pressure. One of us wasn’t able to shower. The staff we told about 5 pm on 7/10 didn’t seem to care.
We absolutely loved our time here. We got away for my birthday and this place was the perfect retreat we needed. The location was fantastic. A secluded retreat with beautiful walking paths and ponds and small waterfalls. You would not know it was surrounded by wonderful food and shopping options. We also discovered a wonderful history about this location that ties back to McDonalds w/ little hints of it still in place. We are already planning a return trip.
Very peaceful
Today we had a serious problem getting our room serviced for whatever reason. Three times different people at the front desk promised us it would be done but never delivered. Then came Fia and Johanna who got our room cleaned and they were happy to assist us. 5 stars for these two ladies who accomplished what three others couldn’t.
The grounds, the front staff, The cleanliness ,amenities
No face towels were in bathroom just towels , I had to request face towels multiple times and only received them 1 time
