Good location. Excellent bed. Needs a decoration overhaul feels slightly jaded.
Pros:

Location. Size of the room. Loft feeling. Comfortable bed.

Cons:

interior jaded. No curtains, blinds only. Sink counter top drawer fell apart. Bathroom provides no privacy, sliding door.

Excellent Hotel with exceptional service "The Germain Hotel Mercer Street"
Pros:

Location - excellent - 10 mins walk to tourist attractions such as CN Tower, various sporting arenas
Atmosphere - really nice atmosphere created by helpful and engaging staff (10/10)
Rooms - excellent - large and comfortable bed and spotless rooms.
Noise levels - quiet - music in restaurant at a perfect level for talking.
Punch restaurant - food was fantastic and the service equally good.
Staff were really polite, helpful, responsive and generally really nice. Service levels were way above what was expected. Special mentions to Lauren, Lauriane and Victoria. There attentiveness was superb - thank you

Disappointing at best
Pros:

aesthetically the hotel is lovely, the rooms are clean and new and what I have come to expect from Le Germaine hotels, as I tend to book exclusively with this brand.

Cons:

technically, I had issues starting with non-operational blackout blinds. It seems room 810 is the only one in the hotel that they forgot to put a switch in. Wi-Fi was spotty at best, the major issue was with the thermostat, for some reason it required constant resetting and in between those times the temperature in the room which soar beyond 30 Celsius. I ended up having to “sleep with the window open” which in downtown Toronto meant I was woken up every five minutes with the sound of honking horns, people or recycling trucks. The blinds broke, so privacy was limited and to top it off. The TV was non-operational. When I go to a hotel, the last thing I want is interaction with hotel staff and Maintenance entering thecroom ,and the fact that each night that I stayed there was an issue and requirement to enter the room. It just completely negated my weekend getaway. I’m very disappointed.
