Valet car parking was very efficient.
The bathroom was very tired and dated. Bodgy door, toilet seat broken, no european shower fixture, shower cutain. On our arrival day, we went to the restaurant for dinner at 7:15pm, and was turned away because there was already 45 min delay in the kirchen and too many orders unfilled, so they were closing the restaurant as they did not have enough staff to serve customers. Considering the daily rate I paid, it was poor value for money. Very disappointed, as we had stayed at other Rydges hotels which were good, but not the Newcastle Rydges.
Very central to everything
Looking a bit old and in need of a refresh.
Location
Bathroom had human hair
Location, view
Service ignored friendly cleaning requests
Great location ,great pool friendly staff, valet Parker’s quick and professional
Nothing
Staff very welcoming and polite
Very very poor water pressure in my room on level 2
Breakfast there was no Bircher muesli on day 2 this is pretty hopeless to be honest workers and travellers expect a reasonable level for a continental breakfast and this is definitely a fail.
I have stayed here before and it was very good 18 months ago, I was looking forward to this stay that was underwhelming and did not meet expectations
Location
Check in experience, no car parking even though I confirmed it on booking. The receptionist was quite rude about me having to find a car spot - needless to say it was a brand new car which I had to leave on the street 5 mins away.
Loved the bed and cleanliness of the room. Bar area was very nice.
Stepping into the bath to have a shower and lack of parking.
Friendly staff
The bedside lights were flickering.
Not enough lights were in the rooms
Close to centre
Carpets bubbling and major trip hazards in hallways and in our room. Due to the unsafe floor my son tripped and cut his arm.
We stayed in the Family Suites at Rydges Newcastle while travelling with family, and it was such a great experience. The rooms were really spacious and well set up, with everything we needed, including a microwave and a small kitchen area, which made things super easy and comfortable.
Having the rooms right next to each other was perfect we could spend time together but still have our own space when we wanted it. Everything felt brand new, modern, and clean, and the whole place had a really welcoming feel.
We felt at home as soon as we arrived and made some lovely memories during our stay. We’d definitely stay here again and would happily recommend it to anyone travelling with family or friends. PS - Staff are AMMMMAZING!
