Pool and location
Expensive parking
The rooms are our dated. Needs refreshing, restaurant service is simply awful, had to wait half an hour for a coffee.
Location
Being charged for items we didn’t take out of the mini bar
Room was very good - clean and spacious.
Breakfast on Saturday was the worst we have ever had anywhere. Scrambled eggs were made from egg powder and ther bacon had been steamed not fried. Dreadful.
Lovely location. Clean tidy and comfortable.
Nothing
Loved the location
Bar shut quite early
Location and facilities. Great view over harbour.
Everything was stunning, was definitely not worth the price
Cosy was too high for what you were receiving
The location on the Newcastle CBD waterfront.
The bed mattress was a little too soft for my liking, however I still slept reasonably well.
Always Exceptional
Nothing
courtesy of staff. Staff did not keep you waiting
The room was very clean and though we opted for no housekeeping, we were able to have new towels upon request. The staff on call and in person at reception were always polite and professional. It was a relief to be able to open windows and see the views of the harbour and tug boats pass by. The food is fine at the restaurant - which saves you going to the restaurants next door; prices are reasonable as well.
Nothing against hotel - just an FYI: You are better off getting parking across the road rather than paying $35 per night. We used that option until we found the parking options only less than 2 streets away were cheaper. By downloading the parking app, you are able to park for a few hours, then from 5pm onwards, it is free. We always found parking across the road - just use your mobile app to search parking and it ends up being no more than $10. The other bonus is, you can increase the parking time required, and always select the 'Camera Parking' option on your phone if you need to start parking meter again from 8am the next day. Saved me walking there next day. You can increase/decrease parking time on the app with ease.
ONLY the location
The room was filthy, floor disgusting, walls stained with squashed mosquitos. Spent about two hours before bed time killing more than 15 mosquitos in the room. Just horrendous.
Our room had a seperate lounge area complete with a very comfortable lounge, TV, bar fridge, small dining table, kitchen sink, bedroom had plenty of hanging space & very comfortable bed, along with another TV, bathroom had the shower over the bath, although it would have been nice to have a non slip mat for the bath. Our view was over the pool & harbour which was beautiful. The staff were very friendly & helpful, off-site valet parking at a really very reasonable rate. We ate in the restaurant ( unfortunately the first night there was a wedding & a conference which made the noise level ridiculous) and the food was very nice.
