It was easy to find my room, which was adequately spaced. It was easy to enter the building. And it was easy to navigate around the breakfast room.
The beds were comfy and the hotel was clean. We accidentally left a favorite pillow behind. Called the front desk and was told they use a service, ileftmystuff.com for forgotten items. I was sent an email and learned that the cost to return the pillow would be $83.92 for an item that weighs less than 2 pounds. My advice is don't forget anything or be prepared to pay a pretty penny.
The first floor rooms are done being renovated but the hallways are still being worked on. We couldn’t find the remote to our tv so we couldn’t watch tv. And there was a dead fly on the bathroom floor, as well as the restroom handle being broken. Never again
Room clean, the hotel was in midst of remodel so that was a little noisy.
The bed was kinda soft for us. Staff at desk friendly, breakfast fine. Thank you.
The hotel is currently under renovation, so finish work everywhere—in the rooms and common areas—is incomplete. Very noisy. The staff was uncharacteristically glum. My mattress felt worn out and repurposed (pre-renovation) and, worse, I found someone else’s long hair and dried blood on the fitted sheet. While I’m usually a Hampton Inn fan and the breakfast was excellent, I won’t likely stay here again.
The location was perfect for us and the staff were very friendly.
The room was very outdated. The bedside tables didn’t match. One of the beside lamps didn’t work and the lamp shades had stains on them. My brother was staying on the 3rd floor and had a really nice modern room. I couldn’t believe what we got for an almost $200/nt room, it was terrible. We only stayed 1 night. They were doing construction so I assumed we got the floor that hadn’t been remodeled yet. I had paid thru booking.com and the hotel ended up also charging me, using my card on file that they required for the stay. I called and they were very apologetic and I had my refund within a few days. So that was good. While I had them on the phone I told them my concerns about the room. They said “oh you must have been on the second floor”. Yes we were. They said it was gutted since our stay. I complained about paying the almost $200/nt. Again they apologized. I was surprised they didn’t offer a discount or anything.
Was hoping to get farther along but ended up here - should have kept driving even tired. Arrived & first thing I noticed was the sign saying they were remodeling the 1st floor. Ok, it seemed like just the lobby - NO it was the entire 1st floor. Rooms had punch lists next to them. That should have been mentioned when I called and the rate reduced. Neither happened. I was assigned a room on the 1st floor. No notes, ok BUT the flipper u-lock was holding the door open, which was clue #1. Walked in & while it looked new, there was a smell besides "reno". Someones leftovers were in the fridge. Promptly went back to the desk & after some work she found a room on the 2nd floor. Went up, it was better (obviously not ""done" yet), but there was no fridge. I needed a fridge. (No microwave either, but can deal with that.) Went Back down, told her & she said that since the 2nd floor was the next one to be done they'd started taking things out of the rooms. She offered to go "see if I can find one upstairs" to bring to me. She did that & I was a little appeased. Breakfast was inadequate. Was happy to leave. One of my worst hotel experiences in recent memory & I stay in a lot of different ones.
So let me start by staying the Hampton Inn in St. George is fantastic. My boss and I expected the same experience here but this place is atrocious. I travel a lot and this is by far the worst Hampton Inn I've stayed at the worst hotel I've stayed at in years. My sink drain doesn't work, the toilet runs, the walls are thin, my boss's iron didnt work and when he tried to call down to the front desk the phone was broke. There was also hair on the bed, they didn't finish putting the pillow covers on, and there was toilet paper chunks stuck to the sink. This place should be 70 bucks a night. Tvs are dated too.
The bathroom had blood splattered on the floor. The hotel would not give us a different room. The person from the front desk came to the room and sprayed it with an unlabeled bottle and wiped up the visible spot with a rag. The person did not use any personal protective equipment to clean up the blood and did not have anything to properly dispose of the rag. The person would not clean the entire bathroom floor. Since the hotel did not offer us a new room. I refused to stay in a room that had a potential blood borne pathogen exposure.
Property was under construction. When I booked it did say that the third floor was under renovation but because of that each room was bare of a refrigerator and a microwave. We had to ask to get a refrigerator. Staff was very accommodating and quick with that request.
TLC badly needed in this crappy hotel with minimal service (housekeeping on every other day without notification), bare bone breakfast, and dirty carpet in the room that would make this our last stay at this hotel and dampened our future stays at the Hilton group hotels despite having the Diamond status.
Close to dining. Easy street parking for my RV.
Floor 3 is under renovation. Floor 2 is very dated and worn. We had a queen bed room on floor 2. It was fairly small and not in good shape. There is no way this hotel in its current condition that is should rate a 3 out 4 stars on TripAdvisor. There was an empty trash bag left on the bed. The sound on the TV was very garbled. We will not be staying here again. The front desk was very nice and excited about the renovation.
The room was very hot and did not cool down sufficiently until about 1am. The bed was uncomfortable and squeaked loudly with even minor movement. It kept waking me up when I would turn over. The shower nozzle was covered with pink mildew/ aka Serratia marcescens which is a bacteria.
Great customer service
Great stay
I was extremely disappointed with my experience at this hotel. I previously stayed at the Hampton Inn in St. George, which was fantastic. Unfortunately, this hotel was not clean, and the walls and floors were thin, making the space feel cramped compared to the spaciousness of the St. George location. Additionally, I found better prices elsewhere; the cost here was higher than I had anticipated.
During my last visit to Cedar City, I stayed at La Quinta, which was much nicer, cleaner, and cheaper. It offered more space, an open check-in area, a better breakfast setup, and a superior elevator. This Hampton Inn felt it was a mess. I'm not sure if they are in the process of remodeling, but it seems like they need to completely rebuild.
I chose Hampton Inn is because I had a lot of points from my stay in St. George. I also struggled to get a price match from other hotels or take advantage of any special rates. This year, I’ve stayed at six different hotels, and this was by far my worst experience. It wasn’t worth the money I spent.
Furthermore, there was a horrible smell in the hotel that resembled that of a skunk or sewer, which kept me awake and made it difficult to sleep. The bed was also uncomfortable. To top it off, there was no fridge or microwave in the room—a standard feature in most hotels. In contrast, the Hampton Inn in St. George at SunRiver offered keyless entry and a much friendlier experience overall.
