Wonderful Accommodation Ideally Situated but Note: Falls within a Low Emission Zone
Pros:

The parking recommendation was very much appreciated and influenced our decision to travel by car. The hotel was ideally situation for the activities we had in mind during our Edinburgh stay. The staff were extremely courteous and friendly; Isaac went above and beyond to ensure we were shown to our room and were fully aware of all the facilities on offer. Queries and requests were attended to extremely promptly and efficiently. The room itself was spacious, we loved the unique room layout as well as the rooftop terrace. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was great - we were so pleased that there was a bath as well as a separate walk-in shower. Everything was well decorated and clean. Real coffee pods available and a mini fridge with complimentary soft drinks just added that extra touch. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Cons:

While the facilities themselves offered good value for money, we found the food and drink pricing to be overly inflated for the options provided. Even by Edinburgh standards the cost was high but not reflected in the quality and portion size. This was disappointing because we would have preferred to make more of the snug/bar facilities in the evenings or for breakfast in the mornings but were discouraged by this.

UPDATE: Sadly when we arrived home we received a penalty notice pertaining to driving within the Low Emission Zone. We were unaware that both the hotel and the hotel recommended car parking facilities fell within the boundaries of this zone nor what the consequences would be. This should have been made more obvious to us prior to making a decision on how to travel. Very disappointing.

Bella città , struttura comoda, camere molto belle e pulite , peccato l ‘ intoppo , sicuro trattasi di un caso isolato .

Cons:

Disservizio l’ ultimo giorno , non ci è stato preparata la colazione al sacco come richiesto la sera prima in reception, visto che si doveva partire all’ alba per l’ aeroporto , arrivati alle 06:15 , non era stato preparato nulla. La cosa che più disturba è che è stato caricato un ricarico del 5% per ogni notte a discrezione dell’ hotel , in cambio di possibili servizi richiesti , quali non si è capito bene, visto anche la mancata colazione . Da notare che la cosa è stata fatta presente tramite e mail pochi gg prima della partenza e non era presente su Booking quando prenotato . Nei corridoi c’ erano dei lavori in corso con dei pezzi di soffitto scoperti , chiusi solo da un telo … ma
Cose che non disturbano il soggiorno .

Grosse Suiten, Frühstück durchschnittlich, sehr bequeme Betten

Cons:

Das Hotel ist sehr stark in die Jahre gekommen. Zimmerreinigung erst nach wiederholter Reklamation einigermassen zufriedenstellend. Fitness kostet extra, kein Pool oder Spa o.ä.
Nach mehrmaligem Aufenthalt würden wir das Hotel auf diesem Stand nicht mehr in Betracht ziehen.
