Beautiful property that summed up Palm Springs
Good location
Kinda modernized but still dated
Our check in experience was warm and inviting. Nate’s mix of attention to detail, friendly vibe and knowledge of Palm Springs made us feel right at home. We immediately felt comfortable in the public spaces and enjoyed the mid century aesthetic of this architectural gem! Nicely appointed room with a great balcony. Perfect stay in a great location!
What a wonderful hidden gem. We just returned from a stay at the Movie Colony Hotel in Room 28. The property is clean, quaint, adorable and has a fascinating history to boot (ask about Jim Morrison’s stay there 😉)!
I cannot compliment the staff highly enough. Each one we interacted with was friendly, helpful and very responsive.
The breakfast offerings are fresh and well stocked. The afternoon wine and cheese happy hour was great and gave us a chance to meet other guests to exchange ideas on fun things to do while in town.
I need to give a special shout out to Nate, the manager. I am a very nervous traveler and he made my one week stay so comfortable. He is so thoughtful and makes you feel as if you good friend of his that he is hosting at his home! Thank you Nate for being you!
Great place! The rooms are clean but could use some updating. But the property itself is beautiful. Happy hour was great talking to the other guests, and Nate was awesome! We will be back soon
This unique, small hotel offers a quiet and relaxing getaway in a great location. Enjoyed visiting by the pool, strolling across the street to an art festival, and through the downtown into shops and restaurants. View of palm trees and mountains. Good Continental breakfast.

quiet and good location
our room was a hodge-podge of furnishings, color and uncharacteristic of what we hoped, given the original architect design of Albert Frey.
We stayed here last week to be near downtown and the Palm Canyon Theater, it was less than a 5 minute walk to dinner and the show! Aleena and Nate went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. We will be back!

Absolutely gorgeous place. Very good price! Loved the private balcony and living room downstairs. The lobby breakfast was nice. Staff very friendly and welcoming. The parking was fantastic, right there and didn't have to pay for parking. Close to downtown. Great area.
Only catch 22 was its right on the street. Which is nice because you can walk to downtown. But on a Saturday night it was a little noisy to begin with then it settled down. Sunday morning it was quiet though and we sat on the balcony for hours and sipped our coffee and relaxed.
I was pleasantly surprised to find the rooms were really nice. We have never stayed there before and it is a small little hotel. I didn't know what to expect. The rooms were clean and the bathroom was a really nice size. The grounds were well kept and had a very inviting pool but it was too cold to go swimming.
The value for money is great.
They listed that there was a heated pool and there was only a jacuzzi and we were looking for a specific hotel to stay in a hot pool in the winter.
Location is great. Pool and hottub area are very very nice. The grounds were well maintained. My room was nice and clean. Kind of a 90's vibe but didn't feel dated at all.
Wifi was spotty - good signal, would go down every 15 minutes or so and reboot. Hotel needs to invest in new pillows - all 4 pillows were very flat and worn out.
