Pros:

Location was great, 5 minute walk to the centre and rooms were clean

Cons:

No air conditioning or fans in the room during the 30deg heatwave. Room keys regularly stopped working and had to be replaced 3 times. Fire alarm went off twice during our stay. One time at 6:30pm and the second time at 5am!!

Hot ,noisy room
Pros:

The breakfast was really nice ,decent selection of food .
Staff at breakfast were nice compared to the reception .
Good location to the theatre 10 min walk

Cons:

There was no fridge to put the bottles of water the hotel provides & on a hot day isnt much help.
We were in a room overlooking the main road & it was a hot day ,no air con in the room & the noise from the traffic at night meant you had to either endure the heat or listen to the traffic ,even when you shut the windows it dont block the sound out infact I thought it was still open .
Our room was on the top floor & there were strange mechanical noises coming from the roof ,kept us awake on top of the traffic noise ,so got little to know sleep .
Reception not helpfull didn't even bother to ask how our stay was & the direction to the car park are wrong .

A £5m refurb with simple facilities missing
Cons:

Superior room was basic, no fridge, no air conditioning and no fans available. Room unbearably hot and stuffy, no ventilation.
Fire alarm kept going off through the night.

Pros:

Well located to train station.
Very good and friendly staff (Highlight of my stay).
Rooms are well maintained for a relatively old property.

Cons:

No air conditioning - assumed hotels in the city centre with big appeal would provide it by default. Definitely didn’t help that it was the middle of the heat wave.
Could use a little renovation to modernise the electrical work (key cards for room entry were difficult to use and air conditioning is a must)

Pros:

Great location. Very clean. Friendly staff. This was the 3rd time I've stayed in this hotel and will always be the one I stay in when I visit Newcastle again. Can't fault anything. They are refurbishing the hotel and I stayed in one of their new rooms a month ago and was absolutely lovely. Even the rooms they still have to do are clean and comfy.

Cons:

Nothing. It's a win win for me.

prima hotel om Newcastle te bezoeken
Pros:

ruime kamers, vriendelijk personeel, mogelijkheid tot eten

Cons:

Het binnenplein voor het hotel leek op een stortplaats. Was de volgende ochtend wel opgeruimd.
