The front desk clerk was being trained by another employee. The pool was closed for maintenance. They were unsure if our room was cleaned yet (it was 3:30pm.) after checking with the cleaners they told us our room was ready. We also had to give a secondary card for hold charge, why they didn’t have my booking card on file, I don’t know.
We walked in our room, took a look around, and left. We weren’t comfortable even setting our things down. The smell was horrible, paint peeling, graffiti on the wall above the jacuzzi/spa, cigarette burns on the boxspring, and crusty drool, hair, and other stains on the sheets. We went down to tell the clerk and they seemed unfazed. We stated we wanted to cancel the reservation and I did NOT want to be charged for ANYTHING. He said he took care of it on his end, the rest would be up to Booking.com, where we made the reservation. The money has not been refunded to my account. There’s a difference between vintage or a little rustic, and straight up unsanitary, disgusting, and unkempt
Location good
Limited very thin towels, when we asked for more we were told extra towels would not be available till after 10 am. Smoke alarm went off every 30 minutes we had to reset using chairs. I'm 70. they argued it didn't happen. Facility was in need of much repair. Rooms were dirty.

My daughters room had multiple cock roaches in it as well as baby ones, tv didn’t work and was told they had no blankets for pullout bed, they left in the middle of the night after seeing the bugs

Room felt dirty and smelled weird, hallway smelled weird, bad water pressure, Catholic mass tv playing in the lobby ??? My mom had bugs in her room
