Great location, lovely rooms

Poor on fundamentals, noisy with poor loyalty benefits.
Pros:

Checked in on a business overnight trip as a Gold member, I was given a room called Trafalgar which sounded like an upgrade. It wasn’t, I ended up in a basement room with a blacked out window, level with the outdoor pavement. The room was incredibly noisy as you can hear conversations by pedestrians as they walked past. Given the window is not existent I don’t know why you wouldn’t notice proof the room better.

At checking in I was asked if I wanted breakfast or points, I chose breakfast. The next morning I’m told that if I wanted two boiled eggs I needed to pay a supplement as this hotel has a strict (and very limited) continental offer. Really strange and whilst within the benefits small print the continental offer is very poor.

Overall a really poor night sleep and poor breakfast, so failed on the fundamentals of what you want a city hotel to be.
