Hotel canceled my reservation without any razon
Bug in room, No, coffee provided. No soap, no shampoo. Property unkempt. Lock on door did not work. Would not print out a receipt Owner pretended not to speak English. Concord was charging 300-400 a night. This was 300.00 Prepaid. No refund. So We did not leave. Property inside and out looked like it was shutting down. Expedia needs to verify property conditions.
As of October 2025, the ownership seems to have changed and the place is about to get renovated. Given the worn and shabby state of the rooms and hallways it shouldn’t be rented at this point at all.
Most poorly maintained property I've ever experienced. Could not adjust the heat/cooling, had to unplug a lamp to turn it off, no microwave in room(there was one near the floor next to the vending machines), key card would not open outside doors, shower drain plugged and had two inches of standing water, toilet nearly overflowed after flushing, carpet in hallway taped down with duct tape, sliding glass door in room barely locked. On top of that the fire alarm went off requiring the fire department to clear the property. Overall felt dirty and unsafe.
Terrible customer service (one lone girl at the desk, who asked for my ID and then continued to make me wait forever while she continued her non-business related convo in a foreign language on the phone). Couldn't understand English well enough to even tell me what the check out process was when I asked. Then I got to the dismal 70-ish era room, only to find the small tv had a smashed screen, a flyer with carbon monoxide warnings was the most prominent feature, and a big spider was in the bathroom. When I asked for another room or a TV that worked, I had to deal with the same young lady, who said she could do nothing and couldn't even call me back because the phones "don't work". I asked if I could check out and get a refund and she said yes, that she would talk to her manager tomorrow (I booked only 1 night). I have no idea if she even did. So far, they just took my money and I didn't even stay 5 minutes in that room.
Unsafe and unsanitary – sewage in the bathtub, no staff available
This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. When we flushed the toilet, sewage came up through the bathtub. The water was dirty and smelled terrible — completely unsanitary and unacceptable.
When we went to report it to the front desk, there was no one there, only a sign saying there were no more rooms available — and this happened around 10 PM.
We had to insist next morning to get another room just to take a shower, and we spent the entire night with this issue. Even though Expedia refunded my money, this place should not be operating under these conditions.
I strongly recommend avoiding this hotel for your safety and hygiene.
When we went to check in we were told they didn’t have any rooms available for us even though we had confirmation of a booking. They did offer a refund (which ended up being moot because we hadn’t prepaid) and didn’t offer to help us find another place to stay. They just told us to call Hotels.com and that the last people had done that. When Hotels.com tried to get a hold of them they didn’t answer. Their front desk guy was just on his personal phone the whole time. It was a joke. It was also 9 pm and we had to scramble to find somewhere else to stay that night. Luckily the Hotels.com manager we talked to offered to cover some of the cost of a new room, which was helpful because a last minute room somewhere else ended up costing more than triple what we had expected to pay here. It was all a mess and an overall very frustrating experience. 0 stars.
I paid for a two queen bedroom. I got there they couldn’t give me that they gave me one queen and I had to share it with my girls. That is not OK.
I believe this listing was a bait and switch. Expedia lost it as Inn at Historic Concord, however, it is a Best Western. The hotel itself is tired and worn and dirty in the main areas. Note: There is no elevator to the second floor so you have to tote your bags up the stairs to the second floor. One of the doors opened from the inside, but you could not access from the outside once you were out. The room itself was fairly clean and comfortable as was the bed. We did have a fire alarm go off during the evening which was disrupting and disconcerting. However, the fire department checked everything and determined all was ok.
All in all an ok stay, but would not stay there again or recommend
Check-in was easy, the room was decent enough.
But 10 minutes into being in the room, housekeeping knocked once then suddenly unlocked and opened the door. Thankfully we were decent, but this was startling. That night we moved this bench that was in the room, against the door because we were so uneasy.
Thankfully we woke up around 8am, because right at 8:30am housekeeping knocked again asking if the room was empty. We shouted "occupied" and they said sorry.....then 15 minutes later, same thing they knocked again! Check out wasn't until 11am, but we left around 9:30am.
Overall, we had a decent place to stay overnight. I just wish we could have felt more alone and relaxed.
This is not a 3 Star property. It is barely a 1 Star. I won't use Expedia again.
Nice
Oh where to start. Checkin was tedious. Firealarm went off. No communication from staff. Disorganized.
We traveled, and apparently there was a glitch in the system in the entire hotel was booked up. I was less standing at the desk for a very long time, my staff was nice at least, but honestly, it didn’t seem like the cleanest space just in the lobby, so it may be a blessing in disguise that we weren’t able to stay.
The staff is great!!! The property is older and it shows. The room was clean and mostly updated. The walls and carpet in the halls looked dingy and dirty. The major downside for me was having to get an Uber/Lyft each time I left the property to get to public transit. There is no walkable path. That may have been noted in the hotel details and I overlooked it.
This hotel was baught off Indian people who don’t speak good English the property needs major work the rugs smell a mess we stayed 2 days thank god all of our stay wasn’t there not a bad area close to shopping centers . Electricity went out from using the blow drier it was bad
No complaints
This property does not have any of the charm that the name and description might lead you to believe. It is also renovation, and it appears to now be a Best Western.
This hotel is disgusting. Pictures on-line are fraudulent. Pics labeled as exterior show other local inns.
This is not an inn- it is a motel. Rooms smell and have bugs. We could not stay- left immediately after seeing the rooms. Went to another nearby hotel and were advised that people come in all the time looking for a new place as they could not stay in the "Inn at Historic Concord".
Clean and comfortable. Starbucks and Chipotle across the parking lot. Very convenient. Very nice staff.
