Regal Réseau Hotel & Spa

Despite the hotel asking for our time of arrival in order to have our room ready the room was not ready for our 2pm check in. We were shown to the roof top bar where we were left for another hour with no explanation. The staff were very helpful and when we asked to speak to a manager they never appeared.

Technology glitches with digital platform to order hotel services eg room service request for food order not received and processed. In addition, poor hotel communication (and lack of) responding to my queries on the hotel WhatsApp number.
Once food order problem escalated to manager the following day, it was dealt with promptly and technology issue resolved. There after, the Manager provided high level of communication and I felt well looked.

Staff were not friendly or approachable. Had trouble communicating with them. Tried to seek assistance to fill the spa on the balcony however was brought up 2 bottles of mineral water instead. Our room key did not work on the 2nd last day and when I went down to get it fixed I didn't get a 'sorry for the inconvenience' just 'it should be fixed now'. Breakfast was ok. The hot dishes were not kept hot though. I expected more from this 4 star hotel.

An extremely disappointing experience, especially given the price.

We had requested a cot for our 1 year old well in advance and were assured one would be available. However, upon arrival we were provided with a bassinet, which is only suitable for much younger infants. When we attempted to use it that night, it collapsed and our baby nearly fell out. This was a serious safety hazard and could have resulted in injury had we not intervened immediately.

To make matters worse, the air conditioning in the room was not working. It was noticeably cooler in the lobby. We reported this at around 4pm, but when we returned at 7pm nothing had been addressed. It was only after escalating the situation, alongside the cot issue, that someone was finally sent to inspect the AC.

We were eventually moved to a suite, but this did little to improve the overall experience. We still did not have a suitable cot, and as we were only staying one night, the disruption caused by moving rooms at bedtime significantly impacted our baby’s sleep, and consequently ours.

Had the hotel simply not advertised that cots were available, this situation could have been avoided entirely. Instead, what should have been a straightforward stay turned into a nightmare.

This is not a 4-star hotel; at best, it deserves a 2-star rating. The property is poorly maintained, offers very limited facilities, and the staff can barely communicate with international guests.

Most importantly, when I pay $200 per night, I expect proper management, especially when it comes to maintaining what is supposed to be a stunning pool. When I arrived at 12:30 PM, I had to wait until 3:00 PM for my room to be ready. No one informed me when it was ready, I had to go down to reception myself to ask.

While waiting, I asked the staff to store my carry-on luggage, which contained valuable items. Instead, they placed it in the main hallway along with all other guests’ luggage, which is completely unacceptable.

The restaurant was also disappointing. The food was overpriced for what it offered and barely edible.

It is absolutely unacceptable for a hotel claiming to be 4-star to allow guests to use the pool in inappropriate attire. One guest was wearing boxers, and others were in underwear. The shouting, screaming, and disruptive behavior in a small pool where others were trying to relax clearly reflects the lack of management and basic standards.

Furthermore, I was unable to connect my laptop to the internet. When I called reception, they asked me to come down just to get the password. When I refused, they sent someone to assist me, but he was unable to resolve the issue and said he would send an expert, who never showed up.

When I asked for a taxi to the airport, they wanted to charge me $20, which is seven times more than a local taxi (PickMe) for a 20-minute drive.

I had booked one night with half board (dinner and breakfast). Since I was leaving at 6:00 AM, before the restaurant opened, they were supposed to provide a takeaway breakfast box—but this never happened.

Overall, this hotel is a complete rip-off.
