Sanjay and Mari, the proprietors, were warm and welcoming. Mari was a fount of information about where to eat, where to hike, and other tips. Our room was clean, comfortable, and quiet at night, and we had a view of sunset over the ocean.

I just checked out of Best Western Carmel's Town House Lodge and couldn't wait to write a review about the exceptional stay my wife and I had.

We came to Carmel for a midweek staycation focused on wine tasting, good food, and relaxing. When choosing a hotel, it came down to this Best Western and another nearby chain property. I ultimately chose Best Western because the rooms appeared more updated and the pool looked better. After staying here, I'm convinced I made the right choice.

The experience started the moment we arrived. Marie at the front desk greeted us with a warm smile and such positive energy that it immediately set the tone for a wonderful trip. Great customer service can make all the difference, and Marie delivered exactly that.

Our room was clean, spacious, and nicely updated. The shower, closet, and overall room layout felt larger than expected and made for a very comfortable stay. The pool was another pleasant surprise—it is actually 8 feet deep, which is becoming increasingly rare these days. We also wish we had spent more time enjoying the sun deck and its beautiful view overlooking the town.

The location couldn't have been better for our visit. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go, including wine tasting rooms, restaurants, and shops, which made the entire trip stress-free.

Breakfast was another highlight. It was fresh, convenient, and saved us from paying restaurant prices, where even a breakfast burrito can easily cost $20 in Carmel.

What impressed me most was the value. Carmel is a beautiful destination, but it can also be very expensive. This hotel offers an outstanding combination of price, location, comfort, and amenities. My wife and I live only about 30 minutes away, and it's hard to justify some of the ultra-luxury hotel rates in town when this property delivers such a great experience at a fraction of the cost.

If you're looking for a clean, updated, well-located hotel with excellent service and great value, I highly recommend Best Western Carmel's Town House Lodge. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are already looking forward to returning.

Great little town to visit with great ambience and a superb beach
The hotel was ok, staff really helpful. The door and windows did not keep out much noise so ear plugs required. The hotel is in the centre of Carmel, so most things are within reach.

The breakfast was consisted of cold boiled pealed off shell egg ready to use which you can find it in grocery stores, two kind of cereal which there was not any bowl to pour in and no milk? Very low quality coffee which was disgusting, break fast room has only 3 tables and you had to wait in street till someone comes out and you go in.

Owners very welcoming. Assured I had a great room location as I was going to be there for 4 days. Room recently remodeled. Beautiful. Very comfortable beds. Does have loud exhaust bathroom fan that could be replaced. Parking was tight in an SUV but there was parking available on street. Great location walked to shops in the down town just a block away. I will stay there again. Want to come back end of August.

As expected

We selected the king suite so we would have more space and because we were spending 3 nights in Carmel. This “suite”located down a steep staircase with no elevator access. We were unaware that it would be in the “basement” next to the utility closet with the staff waking you up everyday. There are no draperies like in the online pictures, just shades. There is absolutely no privacy in this “suite” since the pool furniture is right up against the window. You cannot open the shades for this reason. There is no water pressure in the shower and the fan is very loud and must always be on if you want light in the bathroom. The breakfast is as bare bones as you can get - no bread choice and no real orange juice. Our stay in Carmel was ruined by having this room since we had to leave early and return late since spending any downtime in the room was not enjoyable.

this Best Western is conveniently located a short walk from Ocean Ave. and central Carmel. this remodeled rooms are comfortable and spacious. The daily rate extremely reasonable for this prime location - our rooms were clean, very quiet.
