Friendly staff.
For the price, we expected much better. This is an older motel with surface-level updates, but it’s in desperate need of deep cleaning and maintenance.
The issues started immediately: the shower valve was so tight I was afraid I’d break it, and pulling it caused water to dribble behind the handle. When I tried to call for help, the room phone was dead. The staff member was quick to assist, but he basically showed us that you just have to "really pull" on the handle to get it to work - not exactly the what you'd expect for a decent motel. Interestingly, he asked if the shower "wasn't draining" when I mentioned that we were having troubles with the shower, which suggests plumbing problems are a common theme here.
The lack of attention to detail was everywhere. A coffee cup sat in the same spot in the lobby from the time we checked in until we checked out. We also visited the attached bar/restaurant in the evening, only to find the tap beer unavailable due to a CO2 issue. When we returned for breakfast the next morning, my child grabbed a table tent and immediately said "eew" because it was sticky.
The room itself felt neglected. Both the main room and bathroom floors were dirty - not necessarily filthy, but they clearly needed a good scrubbing. There was old caulk from a previous toilet still stuck to the floor, the sink stopper was missing, and dust had built up in the corners. Waking up in the middle of the night to see silverfish scurrying across the bathroom floor was the final straw. It seems like any "updates" were just a coat of paint over maintenance needs. We won’t be back.
The housekeepers did not clean under the beds in the room so we did find food underneath the beds
Quiet and clean
Nothing everything was great
Katie at the front desk was amazing!
Allen at breakfast was so kind!
Close to the venue we were going to be at.
It snowed and they did not the parking lot plowed well.
Heater cracked and creaked nonstop all night. Pool was full of teens all night.
We really enjoyed having a restaurant attached to the hotel. They food was great! The hotel staff was very pleasant too.
It's showing it's age with some wear and tear. Also, the pool patio area where parents can hang out closed at 10pm when the pool closed so we didn't have another option of hanging out with our friends, everyone had to go to their rooms. We had a big group with us so too many for a hotel room.
Well, it’s close to where I needed to be the next day.
After two stays there I’ve decided not to in the future. It’s very run down, uncomfortably sprawling, with a terrible breakfast area.
Excellent food at the restaurant.
