Platinum Wyndham, gross rooms, smelled of mold, poor lighting, very dirty floors, sparsely furnished, dirty showers..poor parking, very unsafe feeling, very run down, breakfast looked gross, pool cloudy..never again! Very unfriendly staff!! Calling Wyndham and complaining to corporate office….
The bed was super comfy!
The bathroom sink wouldn’t drain. It gave a description of being in downtown Appleton, but it was like a mile or more from downtown.
The pool area was massive and delightful! I enjoyed the hot tub each night. The large covered dome above the pool/hot tub area made it more like an outdoor pool. Lots of seating and even games for families/kids to enjoy. The many entrances meant I could park near my room without having to drag my luggage a long way. Also a huge bonus is the attached Mad Apple bar/restaurant with a very cool outdoor patio with lawn games! Hot breakfast was good, too. Terrific value for the money.
Pool towels were not always readily available.
Hotel was great but there were 3 men in the hot tub taking pictures of my underage children. We left and locked our doors and even put chairs up against the doors. In the morning there were two men loitering around the back entrance door, one had blood dripping down the back of his neck, the others had a ripped shirt and stains. They walked all around my vehicle while I went inside to get more luggage…NOT children friendly place!
Convenient to restaurants and shops.
There was mold in the shower. Parking was tight due to many large trucks from commercial businesses.
Large room and good breakfast
Parking lot was crowded with trucks so limited parking
Everything
The check out time! Because the bed was comfortable
Location, pool under roof.
Nothing, all was good.
HORRIBLE experience. The staff should be ashamed of their behavior.
Gross and dirty rooms, gross bathrooms with chipping paint and dirt everywhere.
When we were greeted by the man at the front desk, he was watching Family Guy and said the “f word” and “g***damn” in our short check in. Completely inappropriate.
Then after dealing with our gross, must cigarette smelling room and dirty pool area with towels on the floors of community bathrooms and tissues on the sink, we went to our room and the power shut off in our room.
The staff said they would come up, knocked on their door, did not introduce themselves while in their pajamas and WALKED IN to our room without staying who they were, nor wearing any form of identification.
Today when we were leaving, the front staff at the desk was RUDE and struck a tone with us, in an almost mocking way.
Do not stay here. Not worth your time or money.
The location is great for being close to, but not right on top of, downtown. It is very clear that the owner is making a LOT of effort to improve the facilities step by step - you can tell this isn't something that is deteriorating - but rather improving. The bar/restaurant has great food, but mixed experiences with their staff - one GREAT experience and one poor one. Overall this was a very strong visit - affordable, good amenities, nice courtyard/pool area - I'd definitely stay there again. Sidenote: we came at a time when there had just been a tornado crisis in the community and this hotel was extremely busy helping out those families in need, and did an EXCELLENT job handling a difficult situation.
Very, very small things that would have made it slightly better. Bathroom was out of a couple of supplies but it was very busy at the counter to bother them to refill things. It would have been nice to sit by the pool area later into the evening just to relax - but everything was shut down right at 11:00 on the weekend. One bartender at the restaurant was amazing, but a different one was very poor. All small and fixable things.
Absolutely nothing they are rude and unhelpful !! They should be shut down !! I can’t imagine being so uncaring in a time of need when a tornado touch down on the valley absolutely sickening !!
Everything !! Do not go here it’s not even updated to code I’m sure .
Pool area
Everything but staff and pool
The size of the room was nice.
The floor was so dirty it ruined my socks. The walls were visibly dirty. The hair dryer was broken. The shower water pressure was inadequate.
