Good

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The children in our group loved playing on the large grassy area by the pool. The breakfast was surprisingly good for a smallish roadside hotel. Even our vegan friends were able to eat a nice breakfast. This was a quick overnight stop on a longer trip. It was fine for what was needed.

They have the softest shower water I have ever had. So relaxing!!!

Property is in need of modernization. Bed was uncomfortable. I was double charged for my stay and the site personnel could not fix the error when I called.

The room smelled of old motel smell. Still has the faint smell of the days of smoking. The bed was a one night comfort level. The accessable shower did not have a fold down bench.

When we arrived there weretwo other customers waiting at the front desk and they said no one was around and that they have been waiting for several minutes. Another customer showed up and then left after it became apparent no one was at the desk. After maybe another 10 minutes we realized there was a young woman in the back room sound asleep. We woke her up but she was very groggy. Five minutes later a young man arrived and he was the one who checked us in. This was about 10pm.

The room was infested with bugs who bit me all night. They did move us to another room. The Sunday morning around 8:45 all the breakfast was gone and eventhough it said that it ended at 9:00 they specifically said they were not going to refill. We did stay at another best western where the breakfast on Sunday morning ended at 10. We went out for breakfast. As diamond members we will never return to this motel.

Staff at front desk and eating area really nice and the staff was very professional for check in and check out. This is our second time for staying here for same event in casa de fruita and it works great being so near the freeways even though a little loud.

Pros:
very pet friendly with large interior yard.
First floor rooms with sliding patio doors right out to lawn.
Right off freeway and close to other fast food choices.

Cons: Right off the freeway, noisy (you won’t hear it in your room over the noisy AC)
Needs maintenance
Room dirty - old dust collections on curtains, hair in bathroom, etc.

Try nearby Hotel Mission de Oro.

comfortable and quiet

Woke up by calling very early in the morning to see if the room was vacant or someone was in it. Told me that if they didn’t call they would have not known and would let a truck driver go into the room. Never offered any discounts especially being a silver member to great western. Then when check out was at 12 still sent the cleaning staff in at 10:30 am. I am still booked to go there on Sat but will not be happy.

The young lady checking us in was very nice. I fear for her safety. We checked in and paid at about 10pm,. Drove around back to find our room. Never found it. Didn't go into the room. Didn't get it of the car. Several men loitering around back, appeared to be looking for victims. Just drive away, 5 hours into the night to get home. Not a safe place to stay.

This is a nice stop off on the wsy up this batren stretch of I-5. The garden and popl area are lovely and thebroom was very nice. Especially the deluxe walk-in shower. Saff was friendly and helpful and sent someone to my room immediately when the TV wasn't workiing and fixed the cable issue.

On the way to AZ we decided to stop here. It had been many years since iur last visit. The room was ok. Clean except for multiple carpet stains. The breakfast was boring. The whole area felt rundown and in need of maintenance. For 1 night it was adequate.

Would stay there again. We drove from Ft. Bragg, CA. to leave early next day to continue on to San Diego. Staff was helpful, our stay was comfortable, breakfast very good!
