Never again, as bad mattress and ppl smoking hashish

Actually a very nice building.
It was clean.

Cons:

The young man checking us in, wasn’t the friendliest person.
We asked for a quiet room, which seemed to overwhelm him.
The room he gave us, was looking toward the highway and on the street up and off the 101.
But the worst part was the people smoking cannabis throughout the entire night until around 6 o‘clock. We couldn’t sleep from the stench - it was awful.

The mattress btw was very uncomfortable and needs replacement - you could feel the springs.

So, never again this Best Western

This was our second time at this hotel and we’ll be back.
Pros:

Friendly staff
Very accommodating
Nice and quiet
Very clean
Great location. Right off the freeway.
Walking distance to cafes and other shops

Cons:

It would be nice if breakfast was included like many of the other Best Western Plus hotels.

We also went to happy hour and had a great time.
Pros:

Breakfast was good and well priced.

Cons:

The bathroom fan didn't work and it was a heatwave but the ac didn't work very well. The ice machine was broken on my floor and the vending machines were on a different floor, but the hotel isn't huge and it is very well laid out. Going upstairs wasn't a big deal and the elevator was right there

Trop bruyant à cause de l’autoroute et des camions de livraison ou autres qui font des marches arrières pendant la nuit.
Pros:

L’emplacement sur la route du circuit roadtrip ouest américain, le parking gratuit.

Cons:

Chambres très très… très bruyantes, à coté d’une autoroute, sans vitrage adapté. Odeur désagréable dans la chambre, chambre vieillotte.

I enjoyed it, but it could've been better.
Pros:

We loved that it is in Carpintería- one of our favorite places. It is walking distance to a great Steakhouse and we love that. We were able to get around pretty easily. The courtyard is wonderful. We bought items from the vending machine and would have used the microwave, too.

Cons:

We didn't know we had to let the desk know we wanted housekeeping. I was very upset and called the Front Desk. I felt ignored and dismissed. I let them know we needed towels and trash removed. We left to the (tiny) pool and when we came back, our room had been fully serviced! We were fully grateful. This is a bittersweet experience that started bitter and ended sweetly.

We have not yet been able to enjoy the Sunset Grille! Both times we have stayed at this Best Western, both times the hotel restaurant has been closed. We ended up spending over $100.00 for a meal somewhere else. Wouldn't you prefer that we spend it at the property? Just saying.
