Capital O First Heritage Inn Rantoul IL I 57

This was a poorly maintained property for the amount of money we spent on this room. My wife was too scared to stay so she moved my daughter and herself to another hotel for the night. While there is a pool, it is not maintained nor open. Maybe a piece of toast for breakfast. The pictures on the website are absolutely not accurate. We will never be staying here again and we have a lot of future events in Rantoul.

Place was trashy and run down and dirty

It smelled bad. No towels tub clogged

Terrible. Rooms were dirty and smelled of smoke. The entire property was unkept and a mess. Stayed one night and tried to be refunded for the second night and staff refused. DO NOT STAY AT THIS MOTEL.

Dirty room. smoke smell in everything from the bed to chairs to towels No lock above door. No ice machine. Only one rag for two nights. Noisy from neighbors.

I don’t believe it was fully advertised that this was a motel style stay. The staff was nice and check-in was quick. I asked for a non-smoking room and the room still had a cigarette scent to it. The bathroom was quite small but the mirror and counter size was good. The bed was very uncomfortable. The pillows were the worst part. Each bed only came with two pillows (one for each person on bed) and they were thinner than paper. Not a comfortable sleep at all. Check-out was quick.

My friend also purchased a room but we had a wedding so they were unable to check-in until around 10:30pm. When they got there they were told they gave away their room and made them pay an extra $40 to get a different one. That is completely ridiculous when they had a room purchased. I have never experienced that before anywhere else.

Good check in. Website/google indicated outdoor pool. WRONG - it has been out of service for awhile. Continental breakfast mediocre...

This place is a dump, nothing worked. No pool, vending machines with pretzels that expired in 2024. How is this place allowed to be on expedia??? Its horrible that expedia promotes this horribly ran hotel.

It looked different online. The staff member who checked me in was great! However, the space was a downer for me.

I'm against the overcharge taking opportunity of events in town. One thing is the low/ high seasons and another increases charges in more than a 100%

There was no one at the front desk. I called the hotel’s phone number and the cordless rang right there. I had to walk around the place knocking on “employee only” doors before he appeared. Was given a room (205) with an adjoining door that the deadbolt didn’t work.

Service was quick and easy will do the to come here

We were in the area for the weekend ...The person at the desk was very accomodating...we are staying there again tonight!

The place smelled like smoke even though it was non smoking, the beds were pretty stiff but if your looking to just pass by it worked
