Upon check in I got to the room & right away didn't have a working light on the switch by the door. Found a light that did work & opened the black out shades unveiling & rundown, dirty room. Floors were dirty walls were banged up dirt in the corners spilled substances on the AC unit dirty hand prints all over the doors around the loose door knobs, remote was taped up & was sticky. Bathroom needed a good scrubbing & toilet was plugged from previous occupants. I got to work mopping the floors with one of the towels & kept trying to get the toilet to clear by flushing & waiting until the water level went down in roughly 10 minutes then repeated the process. Fridge was missing shelves & was dirty & freezer was thick with frost. Everything you touched felt dirty.....like a film covered everything. Thankfully I had my own bedding to cover what was provided. I had some disinfecting wipes in the van so I grabbed those & wiped down all the surfaces & finished mopping the floors so I felt ok having my loyal companion lay on the floor & walk around without my shoes on.
Later that night I walked down to the vending machines & none of them worked .... didn't see any ice machines but I wouldn't have taken any unless it was just to ice down a cooler.
The next day I still hadn't been successful in clearing the toilet & was getting to the point of needing to use it myself. So I asked one guy if he could get me a plunger & he said they were short handed & i said that I could take care of it, just need the plunger. He said he didn't have access to that room & I said ok I will inquire at the front.
Walked up to the front desk & no one was around & so i waited for a few minutes then decided to just go back to the roon &. would try later. About an hour later I tried calling the office & a guy with a heavy accent answered & I asked if someone could bring a plunger to room 201.
Yes but this doesn't have anything to do with the dog, the toilet is plugged & has been since I checked in yesterday.
Again he said something about a pet. I said are you at the front desk? He said yes, I said I'll be right there. So I walked down to the front desk and waited about 15 minutes for him to help the person that was ahead of me and then said yeah I'm the one that called about the plunger for the toilet in 201 and he said yes you need to pay your pet fee right now. I said what do you mean, I paid the pet fee yesterday when I checked in. He said you only paid for one day so you need to pay now.
I said well I don't know about that, I never got a receipt. I'm here for two nights why would they charge me for one day pet fee. Said no you only paid for one night I need the other night now then I started to lose my temper because this was just plain ignorant, & disrespectful.
Never thought to take care of the guest THEN collect fee.
First off on the website says $10 fee per night, then you get to the lobby and there's sign says $20. Wasn't a huge deal when i checked in but after this half step started in, I made sure to point it out, which no surprise he was as concerned with that as the plunger I ask for.
He wanted me to prove that I had paid two nights and I wanted him to prove that I hadn't.
We got into some screaming match I don't remember everything that was said, we exchange vulgarities and I wound up storming out the lobby packed up my shit and left.
This was by far the worst experience I've ever had at a motel /hotel from start to finish and I would never come back to a super 8 by Wyndham. I can't believe the first words out of his mouth was about paying a goddamn pet fee, after asking for a plunger for a toilet that's been clogged for 24 hours by the previous occupants !
Bottom line, the place is run down, dirty & the guy at the desk is totally incompetent.
Good value, convenient location
Parking lot hilly, difficult for motorcycle parking in places but terrain can't be changed!
The price and the Village Inn restaurant on site.
It’s quite run down and could be cleaned better.
todo pesimo
todo el lugar es un muladar
Las camas son súper cómodas yo descansé muy bien .
Para mí todo estuvo bien .
Breakfast options were great plenty of amenities
The pool was closed
The stay was ok.
I didn't like the room I got.
The air conditioning was great and the proximity to Village Inn.
It was a bit too noisy and the pool was closed for maintenance. Our room was dirty, but the beds seemed at least clean and comfy.
