A deeply disappointing stay - beautiful location and clean rooms, but multiple advertised amenities
Pros:

The room was spacious and exactly as shown in the pictures, and the hotel was clean throughout. The location is fantastic. With a functioning pool, hot tub and patio this could be a truly wonderful place to stay - which is precisely why we chose it.

Cons:

We had received an official written confirmation from the hotel just three days before arrival stating that the pool and hot tub would open March 15th - yet upon arrival on March 16th all three amenities (pool, hot tub and patio) were closed due to an ongoing patio renovation, with no reopening date during our stay. When we approached receptionist for an explanation, she repeatedly pointed us to a sign where the original date had been taped over - notably the sign down at the pool still showed the original opening date of March 15th. Despite us explaining that we had specifically booked the hotel for these amenities, she offered no solution and no empathy, simply repeating "things change" and telling us we had to be in touch with booking if we wanted a refund. I have never experienced such a rude treatment in a hotel before.

Additionally the mattresses were very worn, the fridge was extremely loud at night, and the walls thin enough that earplugs were necessary to sleep.
