Pros:

Of all the places I’ve stayed, the breakfast at this Best Western was one of the least impressive. The only protein option available was hard-boiled eggs, and there were just six eggs for roughly 20 guests. Once they ran out, we informed the staff, and they brought out only four more.

Cozy place near the best spots
Pros:

I really enjoyed the room and location! The staff was also very friendly and kind. The beds were really comfortable!!

Cons:

I think the hotel breakfast was very lacking. Only waffle mix and some cereal. I also felt the breakfast lounge was quite packed as it's a small area with many guests.

Monterey hotel close to walking to the beach if you are walkers.
Pros:

The location is great and you can walk to the beach if you are able to walk a ways and there is a walking trail all along the beach. We walked all the way down to the Monterey wharf but it is about 3 miles. The front desk manager was great and even remembered my name. Free parking quiet at night. Good suggestions about the Monterey attractions.

Cons:

The breakfast area. It's right in the lobby and very crowded with close and limited seating. They dont have a kitchen so no hot food. There is a waffle maker and the coffee is good but the cereals are not good and the choices are limited.

Not good enough for The Best Western level.
Pros:

Clean room, clean towels. Good size room

Cons:

There were no soundproof windows, so it was very loud with noise from cars driving by. The room was very dark (the lighting is horrible). There was only broadcast TV, so there were no cartoons for kids to keep them quiet. Other hotels have better breakfast options in terms of choice and availability.
