Unsleepable, Too hot

Room is nice and staff are nice

Cons:

It was during a heatwave, however we were on the second floor and it was hotter inside than it was out! Our room averaged about 26°C. When asked to switch j was told no, when asked for a working fan (ours was broken) I was told there are none left. Probably the most uncomfortable stay in a hotel I've ever had, I ended up sleeping on the bathroom floor next to the window to try and get some air...

Bon séjour mais trop chaud !
Pros:

Très bel hotel avec parking gratuit pour la voiture, chambre très confortable et petit déjeuner délicieux

Cons:

Température trop élevée dans la chambre , les fenêtres s’ouvrent à peine et un tout petit ventilateur disponible... Pas top avec la canicule qui est présente en Angleterre aussi !

Pros:

Lovely building, close to the Demontfort venue, & the town. Parking for free was a bonus. Staff very friendly & helpful. Great room. Breakfast above average, great variety. Would use the Hotel again, thanks

Great location, but wouldn’t book during the summer months.

Location, cleanliness throughout, breakfast fantastic, large room.

Cons:

It was the most uncomfortable nights sleep we have ever encountered. Yes the heat was high, however, you are not able to open the one window more than a few inches due to permanent screws put in place to deliberately prevent this from happening. This resulted in no blow through and just very warm air being recirculated around the room by 1 portable fan. So we were soaked! Also, the shower head would only work on a powerful single jet, so no spray option.
I appreciate that it’s an old building so air con maybe isn’t an option for every room? But at least allow the window to open halfway if not all the way. It was a tortuous nights (sleep).

It is a run down, unloved, too big to manage, relic of a bygone age. Best to turn it into accommodation. No aircon!

Pomimo wskazanych niedogodności, pobyt był udany. Duża wdzięczność dla personelu za możliwość zamiany pokoju na bardziej

Bardzo uczynny personel, czysty pokój, wygodne łóżko, smaczne śniadanie, bardzo dobra restauracja hotelowa.

Cons:

Brak klimatyzacji, brak suszarki do włosów w wyposażeniu łazienki, rezerwuar w spłuczce wypełniający się wodą raz na jakiś czas.

Very comfortable stay
Pros:

Very comfortable, quiet room. Very close to the station and De Montfort Hall for a concert. Very polite staff. Breakfast available in room (extra charge).

Cons:

Shame no aircon, though each time I have stayed before, this hasn't been a problem, as the weather has never been this hot before
