Clean and well furnished hotel.

Did not wish to pay extra for use of pool in "a spa hotel". - think that should have been included in the price.
Friendly staff, rooms were very clean and a decent size. Tea & coffee in the room was very well presented. It was a stopover for one night so did not use any of the amenities or eat at the hotel. Loved the ice machines situated on certain floors. Comfortable bed and nice shower..Would stay here again..
Was very hot but not fault of hotel and they did supply a fan for the rooms.

Having chosen this hotel specifically because it had a swimming pool to then learn that it costs an extra £10 per person to use was a little annoying. The reason given was that the hotel now had do many rooms that if everyone went it would be full?
We did ask to change the room we were allocated, as there was a noisy generator immediately outside the bedroom window (and on a hot night, you wouldn't want to try to sleep with the window closed or open). This was handled pleasantly and efficiently. We were at a function so did not have dinner, but we very much enjoyed the buffet-style breakfast: very good in all respects. We did not have the opportunity to use the spa. We did like the offer of locations from which a guest could obtain crushed ice and/or a small carton of semi-skimmed milk. This was much appreciated.
Although the room to which we were re-allocated was very good indeed, and very comfortable, there did seem to be external noise in various locations around the premises from aircon and other generators and we wondered how many rooms might have similar problems to the first-floor room we were originally offered. We know the hotel from years past and it has been extended and improved significantly, though the Walled Garden Restaurant and other areas look to be due for a little refreshing.
Kindly let us store our bikes in our room so they were safe
