Close to Gruene!!! No riff raff, in a pretty decent area. Room was clean, breakfast was great!!! The breakfast attendant was so hospitable!!

The door of the room i stayed in was very hard to open and close. A true fire safety hazard ,The tub wouldn't drain properly. When I was taking a shower. Paint in the bathroom was bubbling off the walls. From water damage. I will not return to facility
That we could back our truck right up to our door for easy loading and unloading of luggage.

Couple of bugs in bathroom and some pink growing along top of bathtub. The drain did not drain well.
Here's the thing, I've always had a good experience at Best Western Hotels. This hotel was a little more expensive than the cheapest alternatives in New Braunfels, Tx and since I was traveling with family, I didn't want to go to the cheapest. Also I thought it would be a good medium between the cheapest and the more expensive rooms. I was very wrong.
We had 2 rooms - the doors on both of them were not plum (they didn't fit in the door jam when opened) so the doors had to be slammed shut & pried open - we got a new room instead of the worst of the two. They still rented the worst room; I was in the room next to it and at 1 in the morning I heard the new occupants slamming the door shut & ripping the door open, multiple times.
The "new" room had a broken towel rack and wood peeling off the bathroom door - they did fix the towel rack.
The lights in my room would dim in and out for no apparent reason.
I'll also say this, if you go to a hotel with a pool, and the pool looks cloudy, DO NOT go in. That means that the chemicals that keep the pool clean are all burned off. That was the case with this pool. I understand it to a degree, pool chemicals are expensive and they will have to be put in repeatedly in the hot Texas summer. That being said, if you have a pool keep the chems in it; it is a true health hazard with so many people using a pool that is basically a big pot of bacteria.

All trash cans were completely overflowed with trash pouring out of them.

Square pillows???? What is that about. Plumbing issues Toilets water rose everytime it was flushed...and DID NOT EMPTY COMPLETELY. TUB NOT DRAINING WHILE SHOWEring..STANDING IN SOAPY WATER WHILE SHOWERING. Yuck..SORRY not for me.
I booked here due to offering a hot breakfast and proximity to 35.
Breakfast really wasnt what we were expecting. Not a variety at all. Same thing everyday..eggs sausage and fried potatoes. The waffles were very nice, but fruit was not good. Door to our room had to be lifted to shut from inside and to open from outside had to use your shoulder to open.

Location is close to everything . Breakfast was also pretty good .
Didn’t meet my normal experiences with Best Western . The room wasn’t inside , it was the outside , bottom floor . People hanging out in the parking lot until 4 am , doors hard to close , heard slamming all night. Bed , very hard. Towels were stained.
