Cockroaches!!!

I want to start by saying we didn’t actually stay here, we had to leave and go across the street to the Marriott. Our first room had a strong mold smell. So we asked for another. Well that was a mistake because there were cockroaches in the new one. Probably in the old one too, but we didn’t see them. We saw one, and instantly took all of our things out of the room and put them in our car. Then they started coming out of the woodworks. I killed multiple. The front desk came and took pictures. They gave me my money back, but it ruined our trip. We were going to stay with friends and I couldn’t risk taking them to their house because the next day there was one in one of our shoes.

While the staff was friendly, the bed needs to be replaced desperately. Lumpy and stiff, as were the pillows. I woke up with bites all over me. It could have been mosquito bites, I'm still not sure. Walls are thin, music playing a few rooms down could be heard quite clearly.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast had many options which I really appreciated. The room itself was basic but well maintained and clean. My only gripe with this property is that there an early check in policy that I was not aware of when I booked through Expedia. Apparently if you want to check in early it now costs a fee of $30. Very inconvenient but I know it’s not this properties fault, I guess it’s a Best Western policy now.
