Gustavo in Dunkin was super awesome also Pam on the gift shop helped me pick the purrrfect wolf ears for me!
These amazing ladies went above and beyond, making my children's and my build a bear experience to celebrate what would have been my Mama's 74th birthday, a truly memorable and cherished experience. We all added my Mama's ashes inside of our new friends so her heart can carry on with us. Thank you, ladies, from the bottom of my heart. God Bless you for the memory you gave me and my babies today. I will be forever grateful.
Our stay had some enjoyable moments, but overall the experience fell short of expectationsāespecially considering the cost.
When we arrived, the self-check-in kiosk wasnāt working, and there were no staff members nearby to assist. The front desk line was quite long, so the check-in process was not smooth or welcoming. After a long car ride with several small children, we were really hoping to get settled quickly. Unfortunately, our room wasnāt ready when we finished checking in, and we didnāt receive notification that it was ready until after 4:00 PMāthe stated check-in time. It was disappointing not to have access to the room right away, and there was no compensation or acknowledgment of the delay.
We also had issues in the bowling area. The room was uncomfortably hot, and our game stopped working twice. There was no staff available upstairs to help, and another guest had to use an unattended radio to call for assistance on our behalf. While someone eventually came and got the game working again, it stopped a second time by the third frame, and we decided to leave.
While the staff we did encounter were friendly, they were often difficult to find. It didnāt seem like the resort was overly crowded, so it was surprising that service felt so limited. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, especially given the cost families pay to stay here.
Wonderful place for families. Just wish they had a scan to exit the pool for safety of the kids.
We had an amazing fun filled 3 days! There was so much to do, the food was great, and the staff was wonderful. Our kid had the time of his life. Only complaint is that our bed wasn't great.
Our family vacation was for 2 nights and we had a great time! Friendly staff from check-in, to dining, and buying magi-quest games! Our room was clean and felt so comfortable. It was fun and we will be back.
Lovie was awesome at the Front Desk!
Will was friendly when picking out prizes and tallying out tickets!
Great first time experience! Me & family had an awesome time. š easy check in!
So busy you canāt enjoy you yourself. Wait in line for everything including the elevators to get to your room. Elevators are slow. Stairs exit outside unless you remember to get out on 2nd floor, go down the hall to a door and out through the arcade to another stair set to go through the arcade to get outside.
Check in took about an hour in line! I tried to use the kiosk but since I booked through Groupon it wouldnāt work. Ask a worker after trying a couple times and theyāre like oh you have to go to the desk where the line was huge. Wait some more⦠while in line multiple workers walking around asking if they can help (at least 8 times I was asked thisā¦.), explain what you need and they saying keep waiting. So what CAN you help with??? Not a single person they asked if they could assist could they actually help so maybe add a desk, get the workers walking around without actually helping any one behind the desk and actually assist with check in!! We should not come in allllllll at once per hotel directions, and have to wait hours TO CHECK IN!! :/ it was chaos and could be avoided with MORE CHECK IN DESKS. Or allow the kiosks to allow check in with ALL of the types of reservations (I guess only reservations made through GWL direct can use kiosk even though you get the code and steps in your email AND their appā¦.)
Rooms and facility is outdated. The rooms are hot and stuffy and you cannot open the windows. Took us the first day to find the thermostat to adjust the room temp and it still was crazy hot and stuffy. No air flow. I would hate to be there in the summer.
My kids were meh about the water park. The hours were not convenient l, closing at 8 especially when it took so long just to check in, then try to get an elevator bc duh hundreds of people checking in the SAME TIME causes mass confusion and use of the stairs and elevators⦠when your room is on 6 you donāt want to lug luggage up the stairs⦠:/ waste 2+ hours of time so only get maybe 2 hours in the park with crazy long lines.. good luck getting in more than a couple rides!!
No hot tub for parents trying to relax while the kids (teens) are having fun.
The food is beyond terrible, the burgers taste like fake meat and was $18 per burger. So awful our family couldnāt eat them and we arenāt picky. When you buy a package that includes free towels, wolf ears, refillable cup, toy wand etc- they have strategically placed each item inside separate shops so you have to visit multiple places where your children see tons of other things they want! There are also āupgradesā that cost additional for every free item- and the free one is so lame itās easy to want to spend more for the better item! And each activity requires you to walk through other activities so your children see everything and want to do everything that costs extra $! Their marketing department is smart! Parking costs $20 per day too. Aside from the above- the room is spacious and clean. checking in was quick and easy. The waterpark itself is full of entertainment for all ages. Water slides are great and water is warm!
Nice for the kids! Staff at the front desk were friendly and very helpful.
Rooms were clean, mattress horrible, staff wonderful. Although at the Ice-cream shop my child witnessed staff give a kid a cone and mom paid but it was before they opened like 12:30 they opened at 4, my kid went to get a cone and was turned away. Noise level was pretty good considering itās a place full of kiddos. The first night was extremely overpriced but was made up by extending my stay. There are tons of stores around including MOA.
Our kids had a blast! We enjoyed the value of the wolf pass. It was nice that you are able to continue using it after check out time. MagiQuest and the arcade was our favorite.
It was a good experience, we didnāt like that the wave board attraction was closed. Our room seemed very run down for the suite experience. Over all staff and attractions in the hotel were great.
Amazing definitely worth going just a wait in morning for breakfast or else everything is great at resort recommend
The pop machine was broken so the refillable cups were only good for day time, Dunkin didnāt have a baker the one day, the room temp was hard to regulate, the app wasnāt working for food credit tracking, and the surfing activity was not running but the hotel was clean.
The water park is great! The rooms and service, not so much. We were there for three nights. No housekeeping service AT ALL. Which meant no coffee after day one, no fresh towels, overflowing garbage cans, etc. When I asked about service after day 2, I was told it was not available. There was no thermostat in the room. No clock. Lots of activities to do, but absolutely no information provided. There was absolutely zero information provided in the rooms. Not even check out times. Parking costs $20/day, and you may not even be able to find a spot. We came back late one night after a day of shopping, and had to wait over 2 hours for a spot to open up. Two hours of our vacation sitting in the car waiting. There is not an alternative. If I would go back, I would not stay there. I would just get water park passes for a day.
My daughter birthday was amazing it was ppl smoking weed on my floor I got sick you guts need to do better when I come to staff about the situation
Check in roughly 45 minutes to an hour. All food besides the actual restaurant and Dunkinā Donuts is terrible and absurdly overpriced. If your wristband breaks you get to wait in the check in line again (45 minutes) for a thirty second procedure of replacing it. The ambient air is not 84 degrees in the pool, Iād say itās around 75 degrees. The water is warm though. Itās kid friendly with a lot of activities for them to do in addition to the pool.
The suite we stayed in had hair in the bathroom sink, and toilet bowl, as well as pee stain under the seat. Didnāt bother complaining to management about the hair or dirty bathroom because I made a comment about waiting 45 minutes to replace a wristband and was basically scoffed at.
This is the Bloomington, MN location and I would recommend utilizing the Walmart just a mile away (with a free bus from the lodge to the Walmart). Water, juice and snacks will be 80% cheaper at the Walmart.
Overall, we had a fun time. But will probably not go back anytime soon.
Hotel was clean. The staff worked constantly cleaning in the common areas. Not a single time did they clean our room however. We had to call to request towels, coffee, cups, etc. Food at restaurants was good but pricey. Lots of slides in the water park were closed either due to low staffing or they were broken. Additionally, the surf experience was just not there. There was construction going on (though no work happening as no workers going in or out). That nearly 1/2 of those bigger experiences were not available was disappointing. Also much of the soda machines were broken so it was limited where we could fill our refillable cup.
Story time is not like at the two other Great Wolf Lodges we stayed at. This one used a screen and a staffer who was 1/2 into it.
Dunkin wait was INSANE! If we could have cancelled our order we would have (others in our waiting vicinity said the same - - several others). We drove to Caribou the next day. It was way, way quicker.
Magiquest was good. Some of the sensors and equipment were beaten up. Staff for this was great.
The climbing experiences were great. Staff there was also wonderful,
We had a great time, everything was perfect.clean and organized rooms, great service, nice and quiet at night. easy check in and check out.
