Hotel was nice and clean
A once and a lifetime moment was truly ruined by this place. I have never met a more incompetent staff. My fiance (Now wife) chose this hotel for our wedding weekend stay. Our photographer called the hotel no less than 3 times to inquire about photo policies. She was told it would be no problem. The photographer met me in the lobby and for about 30 minutes we had no issues doing photos. But the literal second before my wife and I were doing our first look (the few seconds before) I turn around, their security guard informed us that we can’t take photos. I get they have a policy but it was the complete lack of communication given to staff that we had inquired on about the policy. We were not once informed of this. Our once and a lifetime moment was completely ruined by the staff. The front desk and sales manager also had zero
Empathy and recognition for the moment that they ruined. Never again will we stay there or ever recommend this hotel to anyone and will be sure to share our story across all social media and internet sites to warn people of the incompetency and sheer rudeness an lack of empathy their staff has. A once and a lifetime moment was ruined and no form of compensation from the hotel could ever give us that back.

I booked a room with two queen size beds for 3 adults. My flight was delayed in Miami so I told my daughter who was flying in from NY to call the hotel and let them know that we would be checking in late. She was told there was no rooms available at the hotel. When I arrived I called and I let the hotel person know that my stay was prepaid. She then proceeded to give us a room at the Westin with 1 bed and 1 couch promising the next morning they would send a car to pick us up to take us to the Grand Bohemian and that she was going to upgrade us to a suite. What she gave us was definitely not an upgrade. We were given a corner room where we heard every emergency vehicle and we had 1 king size bed and a couch for 6 days. Not exactly how I intended to spend my prepaid stay. I have asked the hotel to refund my money in its entirety if they fail to resolve my issue by Friday June 13 I will be filing a full refund to my credit card.
The property was modern up-to-date. The location was centralized, within walking distance to various restaurants and events.
Valet parking was a bit cramped but the staff was excellent and made it easy to overlook the minor shortcomings.
