Pros:

Friendly staff that responded right away to questions/requests. More than 'the usual' in the fitness room (some don't even have weights, some have only free weights - this room had free weights AND a weight machine).

I was charged $100 for security deposit and never refund me that money. We even clean out the trash. Very disappointed. Will never use this La Quinta again.

First disappointing experience at our go to hotel in Kansas City.

Fabulous location!

Cons:

The property needs a refresh but we always stay here because of the location and the staff is typically excellent. The woman at the front desk last night was so rude to us and everyone we saw her interact with. We saw 3 women waiting at the front desk for quite a while the employee sat outside and smoked and was on her phone. We were given the wrong room and she was very annoyed with us for coming back down to get the upgraded room we paid for.
