The stay was pleasant, but the road noise and difficulty opening windows due to them being surrounded by ivy meant that
Pros:

The room
Had recently been refurnished which was nice.

Breakfast had quite a nice selection to choose from.

Cons:

There was quite a bit of road noise until late in the evening

Although a wardrobe was provided, it had a chest of drawers inside which meant there was no hanging space for dresses/long skirts. It only accommodated for trouser suits and shirts.

Highly Recommended
Pros:

First visit here and thoroughly enjoyed it. We booked it to stay over after a gig at the Old Fire Station.

Arrived earlier than check-in, but parked in the car park and enjoyed a drink on the patio outside in the sun. Relaxing lounge areas are available.

Attentive staff, even the housekeeping staff passed the time of day when they passed us in the corridors. Clean, comfy beds. Good showers. Our friends had a suite with a sitting room, very nice. Fans supplied in the rooms during the extremely hot weather. Delicious food in the restaurant and a breakfast to set you up for the day. Easy walk into Carlisle city centre amenities.

Overall, very nice, value for money accommodation. Would highly recommend and will return on our next night out in Carlisle.

Traditional hotel with great breakfast and friendly staff
Pros:

Hotel room was clean. Bar was good with local spirits and had a nice outdoor seating area. Breakfast options were good especially the cold buffet including local yoghurt and butter. In addition I left behind a couple of things and the staff kindly agreed to post them on for me!

Cons:

Slightly dated
