Lovely hotel
Pros:

Lovely hotel. Great breakfast. Nice bar and lovely staff
We arrived following train cancellation on hottest day of the year. Only downside was no AC. Rooms were like an oven. Staff gave us an extra fan which was great.

Pros:

Het hotel lag prima op de fietsroute 72. Aan de voorzijde een mooie façade.Ruime kamer en een uitstekend ontbijt. Heel vriendelijk personeel.

Cons:

Absolutely gem, top notch from check into check out.
Pros:

Absolutely blown away by this little hotel. The pictures and review score do not do it justice. The car park was easy to locate with ample parking, check in was really easy with lovely smiley reception staff and our double room was really nice. The hottest day of the year, with temperatures of 34 degrees (unheard of in Cumbria) and our room was cool, with a big fan and plenty of drinking water provided. The bed was comfortable, the room spacious and the bathroom even had a bath, with some really nice guest toiletries provided. The bedlinens and towels were of a very good quality and the whole place was absolutely spotlessly clean. Breakfast was again excellent quality, with locally sourced products. I wasn't expecting a lot, as it was buffet style but it really was excellent. Freshly prepared porridge with fresh strawberries and greek yoghurt, followed by mushrooms, bacon and tomatoes was my choice and it was top notch. Butter portions, jams, marmalades and sauces were all top quality, as was the crockery, cutlery and napkins. Very long review but cannot praise this lovely place highly enough.

A day at the races!
Pros:

Good car parking, nice reception/bar area. Decent breakfast, plenty of tea/coffee, juices etc. Lovely, friendly staff. Room was clean, bed was comfy, plenty tea/coffee. The lovely lady making up the rooms worked so hard, whenever she saw us she asked if we needed anything.

Cons:

Further from town centre than advertised, it's a nice walk if you can manage. Didn't appreciate the £2.50 extra charge if you wanted special egg dishes at breakfast, especially when we paid for B&B. Shower needs upgraded.

Overnachting in Carlisle
Pros:

De ligging, op loopafstand van het centrum. Fijne parkeerplek bij het hotel. Fantastisch ontbijt, zowel Engels als continentaal. Heerlijk zitje achter het hotel, waar het gezien de warmte erg fijn zitten was.

Cons:

Niets.

Welcoming but room for improvement
Pros:

The staff were very friendly and there were good shared relaxing spaces downstairs. The link to Hadrisn's wall was a bonus.

Cons:

The room was too hot, even with the fan provided and the bathroom too small. The fire slarm went off on two consecutive nights - at 4 s.m. the first time.

Great location, hotel has great potential, but serious training needed for customer service
Pros:

The breakfast was lovely, and breakfast staff very helpful,
Location is great

Cons:

Poor welcome from receptionist, topped with extra £20 charge for a45 minute early book in,
Receptionist at night not helpful at all asked for a table for dinner, went away and left us for over half an hour and did not come back to us, NOT HAPPY...!!!
The restaurant was not overly busy at all, and only one waitress seeing to everyone's orders,
