Very happy
Pros:

Clean & tidy.room was upgraded free of charge no fuss no flourish we only found out when we opened the door. Class.

An older hotel built in Victorian Times. A relaxed stay.
Pros:

Great location on the promenade close to the Marine Lake Gardens. Very spacious room. Friendly staff.

Cons:

The small lift for the 3 stairs on the ground floor didn’t seem to work.

OVERALL WE WERE HAPPY WITH OUR SHORT STAY
Pros:

ROOM VERY NICE. FAN VERY WELCOME DURING OUR STAY. LOCATION VERY GOOD FOR LORD ST. AND OUR VISIT TO PORTLAND HALL SPA. BAR SERVICE ENJOYABLE. BREAKFAST MOST ENJOYABLE

Cons:

ROOM AT THE REAR OF THE HOTEL OUTLOOK AT BRICK WALL. DUE TO MISUNDERSTANDING WE MISSED FIRST MORNING BREAKFAST OUR BATHROOM WAS ADEQUATE EXCEPT THE LOCATION OF WASHBASIN CRAMMED INTO A VERY NARROW SPACE AND THE LIGHT OVERHEAD MEANT WE STOOD ON OUR OWN SHADOW

Pros:

Good location, clean and comfortable rooms.

Cons:

The hot water pipes that kept the bedroom too hot and the bathroom radiator that was on constantly. Made sleeping very uncomfortable especially during the heatwave.

Great location for the seafront and town

Cons:

No WiFi or signal in the hotel or room
Room was exceptionally hot, couldnt turn the heater off in the bathroom, even in height of summer!

Will go back it was just the room that let it down

It was close to everything

Cons:

They put us in a very small room and it was hot 🥵 the cold water tap was running hot and they had the heating on but l did go down and told them they moved me to a different room which was a lot better so thank you 🤩

Didn’t have breakfast but had a drink from the bar and it was lovely relaxing lounge area. Staff was pleasant.
