This is my 3rd time of staying, 1st with my husband, 2nd time great niece, 3rd time mum, me, granddaughter and great niece so variety of ages, we all loved the location, the room and hotel
The only thing for us was the breakfast, at £12.50 this is reasonable, but I only eat toast, so £12.50 for toast was high, maybe offer a smaller portion smaller price, or price menu for different options.
A lot of water comes out of the sink taps. You should consider to install flow filters on the taps to reduce the flow and save water
It's traditional and in a great location at a great price. The breakfast was lovely and friendly staff.
Gap in the curtains. Uncomfortable hard mattress and pillows. I didn't sleep well
Very good location to walk into town and tourist attractions including Southport little Theatre. Off road parking is great. The large bed was very comfy and the bathroom ( especially the shower)was spacious. We chose to have the hot buffet meal and it was delicious and very good value for money.
It needs tidying up externally in front eg planks of wood and large weeds at the front of the property.
The whole hotel.had been refurbished and was beautiful.

Problem with water pressure in the morning, unable to get a shower

The majority of the staff were very friendly. We enjoyed the entertainment each evening.
We did enjoy our stay but it wasn't without a few problems.
The non existent house keeping. We hadn't realised we were expected to make our own bed, empty bins and clean the bathroom and the room and leave dirty towels and bins outside the door. While the food was ok, it was self service with no facility to order a drink with the meal. One morning we were told at 9.20am that the dining room was closing. I pointed out that it said 9.30 was the cut off point and my husband pointed out that we'd already paid for breakfast. The woman in charge relented and we had a very hurried meal.
There was obviously an insufficient number of staff but with only one exception the rest were very pleasant.

One thing missing in the lovely new bathroom, is a shelf to keep your toiletries on. Apart from that, bathroom is lovely.
All the drawer space you need. Again, great improvement. Only thing was it was very warm and no AC. There was a fan, but in a very nice big room, didn't help too much. Loved our stay and will definitely be back.
