The bed and bedding were super comfy.
There was a smokey kind of smell in the room on arrival. Not cigarettes, more like pipe or smudge.

Convenient location to airport and a bit cheaper than other hotels (<$200). Across from Costco. Older rooms but comfortable bed. Adequate breakfast with boiled eggs, breads, cereal, yogurt, fruit etc.
We hustled to meet the last airport shuttle scheduled at 8:45pm which did not appear. We were at the stop from 8:25pm. After phoning the hotel twice, we had to wait 45 min. We were told that the hotel can’t call the bus driver and he just happened to drop off and would make another run for us. After a long day travelling , it was disappointing that the advertised shuttle service wasn’t reliable.

Checked in on line to save time on a late check in and early morning flight. Check in did go quick but we were given a room that was already occupied. That’s right, there was a guest already in the room and we were given a key to open the door at 11:30 at night. The front desk personnel was apologetic and gave us a new room right away but this really was unsettling for us, not knowing if someone was going to be given a key for our room . I did ask for the manager to email or call me as I feel there should have been some sort of compensation, and I feel like we do deserve an apology from the manager of this business. I have had no call or email. Never again!
There is one ice machine in the entire complex and it was not working.
The hotel is clean, close to the YVR airport. Rooms are nice and well furnished. The free breakfast is very nice touch and tasty. I like the exterior design of the building. It's not just a box as pretty much everywhere else. This one stands out.
The person who was checking me in was extremely arrogant. He informed me that I was lucky they weren't full because otherwise they would have cancelled my reservation by 4 pm. He claimed they didn't have my credit card info (which I needed to enter to secure my reservation through Booking.com). At no point the hotel contacted me about this. They only sent me a message informing me about their airport shuttle service and an email telling me to complete my pre-arrival check-in to save time at the front desk when picking up the room keys. At no point there was communication about missing credit card info or possible cancellation of my room. This experience added unnecessary stain on otherwise nice stay.
Very close to the airport, easy to get there from Canada Line. Room was quiet, breakfast was convenient. Cute façade, I'm sure it looks amazing in winter.
Breakfast could use some more protein (the only option I saw were some boiled eggs). The bathtub needs some anti-slip flooring and a handlebar.

The shuttle wasn’t running as advertised. The room needs serious upgrades, bathtub cracked and old, AC super loud. You could smell the Febreeze in the old carpets to cover up the smell of old.
