This is a good property in a great location.
Pros:

The property was close to the ferry. Rooms were very comfortable, if a bit worn. Very nice tea time treats were provided in- room. We had the friendliest kindest server from the bar who served us soup on the front enclosed porch.

Cons:

Rooms showing signs of wear.

Would like to come back to Oban just to stay at the Oban Bay Hotel!
Pros:

Beautifully put together, really friendly and helpful staff, all who seem to be proud of their roles and happy to chat to you about the area. Great accommodation with dogs which is rare to find. Super super super comfortable beds - heaven!

Pros:

Amazing location and clean rooms - and the dinner was great too.

Cons:

The spa was pre-booked and paid for, yet wasn't ready when we arrived - we waited 30 minutes for the sauna to be ready, then were cut off right on time despite no one booked after us. We asked for 1 twin and 1 double, got 2 doubles. Asked twice for a spare blanket to split the double - both times told there were none. The bartender had never heard of Springbank, which is on the menu - a bit of a crime in a region people specifically travel to for whisky. I'm writing this because I genuinely think this place has everything it needs to be iconic. It just needs more investment in staff training and service.

Drinks mark up
Pros:

Called in for a drink on Sat.evening.
Last time was Nov 24 when I found drinks prices outrageous.
On Sat. the situation remained the same...a drink cost 3 times higher than another establishment in the town.
Will certainly not be back.Poor tourists
