Nice location - just away from the busy centre of York. Room soundproofing good. Staff helpful
Room small, air-conditioning very awkward to set up satisfactorily - clearly something the staff are used to having to help customers with - however we eventually managed and by running it at 16 deg C all night the room was kept comfortable. Both these aspects compare poorly with other Ibis Style hotels we've stayed in in other cities. Why can't they make decent scrambled eggs for breakfast?
The staff were friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean and there was air conditioning which we needed during the heat wave.
The toilet roll holder was falling off the wall. It was a bit pricey.

Love Ibis styles hotels they always clean friendly, helpful, breakfasts are lovely especially the coffee we've stayed in a few, bit of a walk into the city centre but only 10 mins walk to train station, highly recommended.
