Alpen Resort & Spa Zermatt

Wow! An incredible hotel. I was given a free upgrade with a balcony and a view of the Matterhorn. The room was amazing. Plenty of space and excellent decor. Breakfast had a good selection. Staff were friendly, My room was decorated for my birthday. Spa area, again Wow! This hotel has to be one of the top hotels Ive stayed in.

Our stay at Alpen resort was magical. Could be that Switzerland is magical but this resort was wonderful. We should have planned more nights here. Views are incredible and the ease of getting to r restaurants or anywhere in Zermatt was easy. We had 5 people traveling and the room with the loft was perfect. We used the spa and the pool area and it was also beautiful. The room was very clean and the staff was super friendly and helpful with any questions we had. We did the 6.5 mile 5 lakes hike, definitely recommend, and came back to relax in the pool and hot tub. We will definitely be back. 💕

This place is paradise! I can’t say enough wonderful things about our stay! To start, the view from our room and balcony was breath taking! Our room and especially our bathroom were beautiful! The pool and spa area was unreal, and the perfect way to spend an evening! It was a short walk from the hotel to the train station, which was very convenient! The staff and continental breakfast were wonderful! We will definitely be staying here again!

Great hotel, woth ample things to do with kids. Lots of play areas to keep kids occupied.

We were stuck here during the snow storm that hit Zermatt and caused the trains to be closed for two days. The staff did the best they could to provide entertainment, warm food and a place to say while we waited out the train. The hotel has great amenities, pool and spa services. Also only a very short walk to downtown shops and restaurants and the ski shops and lifts to the mountains! We will be back!

Really enjoyed our time there.

Our first time to Zermatt. The resort is at the excellent location with spacious room and view for our family of 4 . We booked the half board with our stay which included breakfast and dinner at the hotel. Both breakfast and dinner were better than expected. The dinner was excellent and just how I wanted to experience the Swiss traditional food . It was 3 courses dinners and not buffet style. The pool and kid play area is very relaxing after a day full of activities. The staffs are very friendly and welcoming. We had great experience overall.

Great breakfast buffet. Room was ok, but maintenance of details was not great. Curtain was hanging loose. Shower shampoo dispenser dis not work well. Pool table in play area was very worn out, and sticks were unusable. Staff service was barely cordial. I found it very expensive for what it is...
