Fireplace was not functional, only on until it got hot then stopped 5 min into timer. Cost was high for unfunctional fireplace.

Room was clean & good deal for money. Location was good to downtown.
Pros:

Room decor was nice with the cabin feel.
nice to have a door to balcony.

Cons:

Shower did not drain - I had to lift the spout to drain water.
no elevator to top floor.
garbage was over flowing in lobby/kitchen when we checked in @ 4:30 from breakfast.

GREAT room - older hotel - stay in one of their Fantasy Suites!
Pros:

The large walk-in shower with 12 wall shower heads, two waterfall shower heads, and a large overhead rain shower head is GREAT! Great water pressure & lots of hot water. Same with the spa whirlpool tub. It fills fast, has good jets & is plenty big enough for two. Great addition also, having our own sauna in the room. Everything was clean and orderly. Also nice, is having your own little back patio complete with chairs & a small table that overlooks a wooded area. Good breakfast with a very tasty potatoes & sausage dish, waffles, good selection of pastries, cereals, yogurt, coffees, juices & all the things you would expect.

Cons:

Needs a clock radio. I think they're currently having an issue with the pool smelling musty, (humidifiers running in the hallway) and our room was near the pool so it kinda smelled that way too, but we opened up our door to the patio for a while & it aired out. This is an older hotel. It needs updates, especially in the downstairs hallway.
My advice is to not pay too much attention to the rest of the hotel, because it's a whole different world when you enter the Fantasy Suites rooms and they are GREAT!
