Very enjoyable; loved the food and the location.
Pros:

Located in a pretty setting by the river, a short and pleasant walk from the centre of Ironbridge village. Excellent food: evening meals were delicious and the standard of a very good resturant; breakfasts were plentiful and very well cooked. Staff were helpful and friendly, rooms were very clean.

Cons:

Small points but the room was on the cool side and the shower was weak.

A good high-class hotel
Pros:

I came literally at the last minute of allowed check-in window, but the receptionists did not mind to take me in even though it kinda messed up their procedure.
During the breakfast, since I checked-in too late, I was not in the list, but kind people still let me have the breakfast and even filled the buffet earlier for my unexpected arrival.
The room was perfect: the soap, the bedsheets, the tea - all that nice stuff that you normally see in high class hotels was there.

Cons:

The cost =D
This kind of hotels is definitely too prestigious for poor old me, but it's nice to try them once in a while.
The teapot had a lot of limescale. I tried to remove it with cola and, come to think of it, forgot to pour it out... hopefully the limescale is gone now.

Disappointed
Pros:

The food in the restaurant was amazing. The hotel was very clean.

Cons:

The room we were given was on the main corridor. A wedding was taking place on both nights of our stay. The first night we were kept awake with the noise of the party until 2am when guests were outside our room talking and swearing. We spoke to reception who offered another room but it was upstairs and I have mobility issues. On the second night the food was served outside our door. So about 60 people were right outside our door making a ridiculous noise. We decided to leave. Reception changed our room so we stayed. But the whole experience was not good. I feel we should have been told that there was wedding events taking place before we stayed. Very disappointed.

The Valley Hotel is ideally located for touring Ironbridge.
Pros:

The breakfast layout was one of the best we have seen in a long time.
The choice of food was also good.

Cons:

We were unfortunately given a room that was 2 storeys high. given our medical conditions, we were unable to carry our suitcase up two flights of stairs. We had to rely on staff helping us.
