The highlight of the stay was definitely the team. Everyone was helpful, friendly, and truly accommodating from check-in to check-out.
The hotel is ideally situated close to the Ottawa River and serves as a good base if you’re planning a trip out to Algonquin Provincial Park.
The included breakfast is fairly simple, but totally reasonable to get your day started. If you want something more substantial, they offer a public breakfast menu with additional options for an extra charge. We tried the Westwind Restaurant—the food and service were great, even if it felt a little on the pricier side.
My initial room faced the indoor pool area. The only window/door opened directly to the pool, and the chlorine smell was extremely strong and overpowering.
Note: The front desk staff handled this brilliantly and changed my room quickly without any hassle.
One minor downside to keep in mind is that the windows in the rooms do not open. Fresh air ventilation isn't an option, so you have to rely entirely on the AC unit.

Unica nota stonata mi hanno chiesto la carta di credito per la cauzione… per adesso l’unico in tanti alberghi in Canada, visto che ho una Revolut Business. Non ho insistito perché alla reception sono stati categorici, e a quanto mi è sembrato di capire non mi avrebbero dato la stanza già prepagata. dovrebbero aggiornarsi perché avrebbero potuto prendere la cauzione e poi restituirla a fine soggiorno.

Normally a great place for our cycling club hub n spoke events.
The fact that I booked a room with 2 beds several months earlier, (my cycling room mate and I weren't partners, just friends) and I ended up sleeping on an uncomfortable pullout. The beds are very comfortable at this hotel which is why we always book 1 room 2 beds. The hotel was fully booked and this was the best they could do. I did receive a 15% reduction but messing up my booking was their mistake.
Great hotel with great restaurant built inside. Further away from main town area but if only used for a room its great.
